If you want to change the registration number only then, otherwise you can keep your previous number. A vehicle registered in india is authorized to be used anywhere within india.Originally posted by Doga View PostA NOC from the current RTO has to taken which should be presented to the RTO of the destination townI am loving my NS

There is nothing like that, you just need to have RC,pollution form, insurance and helmet all the time.
+1 lack of transport can create problems.
I will pm you after confirming this from one of my friend who just completed his degree from LPU.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostWell, I dont hav perfect Idea in this. Thats y asked..

somehow i am unable to select your replies to quote hence pardon me mate for choosing wrong matter in quotesOriginally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostCheck your Coolant level, when the engine is very hot. It seems the coolant overflowed when the engine was hot and came via the overflow pipe. And it's normal and present there for the security reason.
It is said that Engine ICE helps to keep the temp lower by 5 degrees. I haven't used it yet, but never found any negative feedback. Only thing is you have to flush the existing coolant completely before using it.
Powerparts and powerwear are still not widely available. It depends on the dealer whether he will store all these parts(monetary reason I guess) but some dealers will arrange them if youbBook any part with them.

thanks for your help - i have booked it two days back and will take delivery from new load of bikes
i checked the sites and wanted to know if you or anyone else here has checked progrip tank-pads and Keiti tankpads, they both cost same so confused?
Also is DUKE Rain cover in orange cover good for 720 Rs ? ie. any body is using it?
Are the issues reported till now like chain loosening , coolant spill, engine stalling etc etc , are gone in new batches? i have heard so but need to be be sure?
Any lock under 500 rs which is good quality ?
Are you aware about any thread or post about Duke's running in instructions/ precautions/ oil change etc ?
I am getting confused betwen motomans , company's method and various suggestions of changing oil at 50 0r 100 or 500kms runs?
If there is not i think this is the tme to start one so as all new owners can benefit from one .

the mistake i did was testing ns after testing duke .. i had considered duke to be the benchmark and so i ended up not liking ns .. i instantly ignored cbr after test ride due to its wieght ... rode ns yesterday and instantly decided to go for duke ... now duke is my full and final decision ... making the full payment on friday ...
good i booked mine as well, yes only thing not going for cbr according to me was weight, which does help on high speeds, soft front suspension and the looks ( my personnel opinion ) else its superb bike and still its gearbox and engine smoothness is better then Duke, so is the perceived reliability of Honda engines
I am still making the list so will update you once i am done, i am also thinking of starting a thread for it, did you find some infor regarding it?
what accessories are you buying for it?

Did you get helmet from KTM?
Hello guys, I wonder if any of you get a (free) helmet from buying a KTM Duke 200?
I need info about this.
Because, I didn't get one
oh, by the way..
Finally done the middle pipe and attach the silencer to it.
Now, I have to make a bracket to hold the silencer down.
FYI, The stock silencer and catcon weight 5,15kg
Sorry for the bad pics

as far i think getting a tank pad on duke is merely a cosmetic upgrade , i dop agree they serve their purpose but the new tank costs around 1200 rs so not advisable for a tank pad , rest its ur call
.
yes go ahead with the cover , some of them are using it and has got good review and its value for its money
.
lock for 500 , i dont have any idea on that one , sorry mate
.
follow the company run-in-period , best and advisable.
there are many debates between moto-man's and normal run-in period
but better stick to the run-in period given in the manual and change oil during 1st servicing

I never used any of them yet. But as far as I know both are good.

Some people are using it and the review is good.

Those problems are not in the first lot even. Chain loosening is only during running in. Coolant spillage is due to overfilling of coolant and engine stalling is experienced by some when riding hard and then keeping the Bike in neutral. Not much info is here with me on this topic.

Not sure but decent disc locks would be a bit costly.

There is no proven runnin method. I did it in conventional way to be at the safe side. I even changed the oil at first service 900+ Kms.
If there is not i think this is the tme to start one so as all new owners can benefit from one .___________________________________________
