Check this image. I had forseen this issue and had planned to do this even before i had bought the bike. Atleast it will help where ppl cannot open with hand. As you can see, its a hose clamp. Have even done it for the radiator cap.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostI am suffering from two irritating issues for the past two days-

2. A screw from the front mudguard has fallen off I do not know when and the mud guard is dangling without it on one side.
The resultant is irritating dangling noise and decreasing rear disc performance.
When I went to KTM Spares outlet, it was irritating to know, that they have neither
This is so irritating and I have to wait for these frigging spares which are high on safety issues.
As for your 2nd issue, even i lost one of the bolts on the front sprocket cover. The ASC did not have the spares so they did some jugaad and put in another bolt ( a temporary solution ). Spares is an issue everywhere i guess.30+ YEARS OF RIDING

I opened up a sample bolt from the bike and got 5 pieces of painted High tension units and used it from a local hardware shop.Originally posted by Janesh.J View Post

The only thing is the hardware bolts aren't stainless steel- they are all High tension painted- which might attract rust under extreme moisture.
But still the cap - damn plastic cap - a dhakkan is being the primary issue now...........I am severely suffering from the loss of braking efficiency.
I am thinking of plonking on a R15 or Ninja250r or a Pulsar 220 reservoir unit now
What a mess by KTM !!! I hope AKshay arranges one soon.

Aaah..back on the saddle..after a 15 day hiatus...was in Kolkata for Pujo. Loved the carnival atmosphere there.Kolkatans sure know how to celebrate pujo. But even those pretty young Bong things prancing around in those lovely colourful sarees could not have me miss my KTM anyless. So the first thing I do after reaching my place at 6 in the morning was throw my bags and rush down back to the garage. Literally. Rode to my heart's content on the Palm beach road, taking full advantage of the absent traffic, the darkness notwithstanding.
The bike started on the first crank. So that was a good thing. It felt smooth too, which I did not expect. BUt
what took me by surprise is even a relatively small period of 15 days off the saddle makes a lot of difference when you ride again in terms of your reflexes, confidence and your judgement.
And yeah rode a duke whose rev limiter was reset to 11500 rpm by KIRUS works. The bike felt super smooth as compared to my bike at low rpms. I could not claim the top speed of 145 plus which was claimed by the owner. And it wheelied effortlessly too

I noticed One duke and one CBR in my neighbourhood. Besides few dukes occasionally on the roads. People of Bengal are getting rich it seems, despite the Industries shunning the state and the frequent bandhsOriginally posted by MACH50 View PostI wonder have u noticed any Duke200 there, or only u took notice of Pretty Bong girls
