Another Problem occurred from the past 1 week ,I dnt know what sound it is,from the back ,I guess the chain is hitting or touching something, "Chuck - Chuck - Chuck" sound i hear, after the speed 60 kmph ,It disappears.
This Sound Problem din occur before,All of a sudden.

Also Help me with good HID Powerful.White.lights For my Baby duke 200.
Please tell me which one is suitable h4 or h7

Suggest some companies or HID brands,Along with the price warranty etc.
Will it EAT my battery up?
Need some more information on this.

Please somebody throw some light on my reply.

      Please Help Guys
      Thank you!
It's short geared, gets the pull at the expense of speed. Is that a problem ?

Clean/lube/adjust play of the chain for every 500kms.

here is the experience when I wanted to install a hid on my ns, the mechanic said the bike is not dc as the headlight was not lit up before the engine start. so seeing how stupid they can be I dropped the idea of hid but managed to get the headlight lit up without even turning on the kill switch.

You can look for a better halogen bulbs rather than going for the cheap hids. If you want to buy a hid, go for a branded one and that too try to find a 50w bixenon. there wont be any problem with the battery AFAIK.

Have the chain adjusted properly and your problem of reaching 50 in 1st gear might go away.

        • Top speeds in various gears, it's not an chain issue. It's geared/designed liked that.

          1st gear – 45kmph

          2nd gear –59kmph

          3rd gear –79kmph

          4th gear –98kmph

          5th gear –119kmph

          6th gear -136kmph

Eh? What's to "hurt" about that? It's geared that way. The engine hits the rev limiter (10.5k rpm) at those speeds, so it obviously won't go any further in that gear because the engine power is cut off. If you want more speed (at the expense of accelaration) just get a smaller rear sprocket (edit : or better yet, get kiiru's ECU remap which extends the rev limit to 11.7k rpm). I decided in favour of duke over CBR purely because it had shorter gears. Short gearing = accelaration = fun.

Also, may i know what's the reason you care how much speed the bike does in 1st (or any) gear? I mean, the gear number is pretty irrelevent from where i'm coming.

That's a defect with some of the fans they say its the pressure washing that makes it get spoilt but it's the manufacturing that's off in those fans...running my 2nd Fan since march 2012 till date

Well with Kiirus you're just paying them Rs.10,000 to give you an extra 1200rpm in every gear there is no modification to the way the powerband works with their ecu remap. Everything remains the same apart from the fact that your rev limiter cuts of much later

                              • So, a few new things happened involving the duke.

                                - Had a pillion for the first time today in almost 2 months of owning the bike. The pillion seat is so cramped that it makes the rider uncomfortable even with an average sized female pillion (strictly speaking of the riding part here).
                                - I got a free bike wash today. Since it has been raining in bangalore, my duke was a bit mucky after a ride to my friend's place. 4 hours later when i go back to the bike in the parking lot, it's all washed up and shiney. The apartment guard washed it and said "itni sundar bike lee hai, mitti lag ke acchi nahi lag rahi thi".
                                - Race Dynamics have finally come out with their ECU for the duke. Not much detail is known to me at this time though. Here's the facebook link to the announcement, they'll probably provide more info there.
