& I havent even completed my Run-In...No matter how much I try, its always tempting to race him and its the same with the counterpart...any therapy I should undergo to calm down
Its so much better if you don't race at all even after running in...I get so many people revving up trying to race whenever they ride along side the bike, but just coz I'm ready To Race, doesn't mean I have to ;-)
Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

My personal vote would go for NH3 (Mumbai-Nashik highway).

4-lane Dual-carriageway throughout. No need to worry about oncoming vehicles at the ghats.

If you post this on the Mumbai thread, you would get better responses.

              I am

Have seen villagers coming down the uphill ghat section...
I keep a lookout for them. Since it's not a closed road we have to keep ample scope for corrections.

                  • Concerns about Duke

                    Hi All,

I am thinking of booking Duke in next week, But I have some concerns...

                    1) I read on this thread that Duke heats up a lot, I took TD of Duke and felt the same, Is this point much of a worry? Is there any aftermarket solution for this?
                    2) Personally I didn't feel any vibration in TD but someone on this forum was saying there are vibrations at high RPM. I own RTR 180 & it has lot of vibrations which irritates me a lot now days. How are the Duke's vibrations compared to RTR 180?
                    3) I felt gear & break levers very small at time of test drive. Did you guys face any problem with them?

I am booking this bike after lot of financial hassles and lot of convincing in home. I don't want to regret my decision so plz tell me that ALL IS WELL and I can go ahead and book this bike.

Its not of much worry. Happens only in traffic situations. One can easily live with it with jeans pants.

                      2) Personally I didn't feel any vibration in TD but someone on this forum was saying there are vibrations at high RPM. I own RTR 180 & it has lot of vibrations which irritates me a lot now days. How are the Duke's vibrations compared to RTR 180?

Dont know about RTR180 as duke is my first bike. But the vibrations that are felt are only at footpegs and there is a solution to it too. But its very minor and does not irritate at all.

                      3) I felt gear & break levers very small at time of test drive. Did you guys face any problem with them?

It is small. But one will get used to it. I have missed the gear pedal only once till date. About rear brake pedal, you wont be needing much. :P But yes it is small and little difficult to get used to. Especially if u don't use it much.:P

In my opinion the major drawback is the pillion seat, all other issues are minor and bike is almost perfect.

                      • Getting used to biking...

Got delivery of my KTM 200 Duke two days back... this is my first bike and I am getting used to biking... I am waiting for the first service to get over, so that I can open up the accelerator and enjoy the full power of my bike...

Is there any group of Hyderabad KTM owners... would like to be part of it and join for rides...

Is the pillion seat too small , i mean would it be a trouble for my girlfriend to seat , coz i dont want to see a BIG face for the rest of my life , On a serious note IS IT TOO SMALL to be uncomfortable to anyone , coz i havnt seen the duke physically yet

So no issue with the size of the seat ?
