I have been getting this sort of a problem. Actually while i was riding on 2nd gear i felt a couple of times that the engine would sort of choke and stop. I pulled the clutch and stopped this from happening.Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostSounds serious, it could also be some kind of sensor gone bad. Iv'e done around 410 on my Duke and it has this stalling problem. It can Go off then I need to use the starter while on the move. Will have to wait till the first service. please keep us updated on what happened.
Get well soon buddy!
I noticed this thing yesterday about false Neutrals, It happened to me just like Debashish who damaged his duke. I put the bike in Neutral, the Neutral light came on. Then all of a sudden the bike changed to 2nd gear and sped forward. Luckily the side stand was on and the bike stopped. Has anyone else had this issue?
What do you think is the problem? The best alarm clock is sunshine on chrome.

I personally feel this isn't something related to the mechanical part. It is more electrical because it appears during sudden acceleration. Could be the throttle position sensor or something. Could also be the fuel line or injector. It also happens when the bike is tilted. I heard that this is an issue in single injector Motorcycles but do not believe that.Originally posted by devil_rider View PostI have been getting this sort of a problem. I am sure KTM is aware and will sort it at first service as most people say.

Is this hike as a result of budget or its the decision by BAL ?

I have made the full payment of the duke at chennai PBK, which is 1,36,500. The next three days the RTO is not functioning so the registration will happen on mon or tue. Hoping to lay my hands on the duke on wed. Had a test ride for second time, this time I kept upshifting and twisting the throttle and I discovered that, thats the right way to ride the duke unlike other bike where we need to redline on every gear to extract the fullest potential.
The work around for this is to not leave the bike idling or engaging the clutch even in neutral or engaging the side stand as spiralbrain mentioned.Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostI noticed this thing yesterday about false Neutrals, It happened to me just like Debashish who damaged his duke. The hike in the price is due to the rise in tax(info got from PBK guy)Originally posted by Rajathslr View PostIs this hike as a result of budget or its the decision by BAL ?

Those who have booked the bike from chennai and waiting for the call from the PBK guys can make the payment and get the delivery. Due to the exams many people have postponed the delivery so the delivery is not happening based up on priority. The on road price is in upward trend so the more You wait, the more You have to pay so its time to swing in to action.

Is he a fellow xbhian? If not make him joinOriginally posted by spiralbrain View PostOk I found another Duke in my area. Took a look at at it, it had done 750Km, his bike felt a lot silent, no scratching or engine noise. He said he had touched 140 on one occasion. He said he had no stalling issue.
