So do You say that they have given the TD vehicle for Your personal use? So what will they do if someone wants to do a test ride?Originally posted by alderine rush View PostToday in the evening I was provided with showrooms testdrive vehicle for my use while they will be riding my bike to make sure that bike is ok.

Its an electrical fault maybe some relay or loose conection..and jerk on the move was due to fuelpump getting ON and OFF.Originally posted by ASSASSIN07 View PostThats good. Shows commitment for customer satisfaction! Wait for their analysis. BTW, what exactly are the claiming is the problem? Or they didnt say anything?

I have this vehicle 1 or 2 days only while they will be riding my bike to confirm that problem is solved because previous time also they rode it for about 50km but when I rode it problem arise again after 2km. Don't know how they will manage to give test ride in the mean time.Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostSo do You say that they have given the TD vehicle for Your personal use? they always keep more than 1 td vehicle.Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostMay be they ll use your bike as a TD vehicle
. Just kiddingand the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I booked my Duke "Shaheed" on 7th March at KTM Vashi full cash paid and was promised delivery within a month worst-case.
My bike was actually ready on 16th March, but thanx to a string of inauspicious days, had to delay my delivery..
Date:23rd March 2012
Reached showroom @ 1.45 pm.
The guys were really prompt and attended to me immediately
Checked all my papers, was given the demo.
Was done by 2.15pm. Then I asked Ajay Bhai to take off the mudguard and saree guard. He took utmost care not to scratch anypart while he was working on it. FINALLY, I got to ride the bike..3kms later 5Lit of XtraPremium and I was good to go. I took care not to go beyond 4k rpm in any gear.
Initial Report
No thuds on speed breakers or i pits near the console.
Silky smooth gear shifts..
Phenomenal FRONT brakes...didnt bother to check the REAR ones..will do it tonite..
My Dad was tailing me in our car, and his only report for me was that almost every bike in the opposite lane slowed down their bike to get a glimpse of mine.

35 mins later my ass was on fire,
thanks to the hard seats..i am not used to it coz of my plush rx100 seats..
In traffics, my legs were being cooked..Engine heats up very fast in slow traffic plus hot summer afternoon.
Suspension is a bit stiff [ I weigh only 58kg ]
Ride position is spot on [ I am 5'11"] and my feet automatically find themselves on the gear and brake levers
I rode 75 kms till now my avg console mileage is 38kmpl although i suspect its faulty coz I am confident of my riding style.
Shall upload pics tomorrow..
I revved the engine only once to 9k rpm just to record it and send it to all my friends.

Looking forward to enjoy a great life with the DUKE of KDMC

Please give some baksheesh to guys like Ajay Bhai in your showrooms for taking utmost care of our Dukes
Cheers,
Happy Riding and Ride Safe

Disc Locks size?
Hi All,
I'm getting my duke delivered in a week or two. I'm planning to get a disc lock for it from XENA , getting it from US since one of my relative is coming back next week.
Just wanted to know the size of the disc holes on the Duke from fellow Duke owners so as to make sure the lock fits in the whole (to avoid any surprises like the lock being bigger than the disc hole
).
Has anyone got these disc locks on any other bikes before ? If so please share your experience and i have heard Xena is the best in the business, any inputs on selecting the type and the model would be highly appreciated.
Cheers ,

The circumferential holes are about 7-8 mm diameter on both front & rear disc. But in case you want extra security & bigger diameter lock, you can put it in front brake's radial space (not circumferential).Originally posted by harshag26 View Post

I also planned to buy Xena. But instead brought 2 local locks because -
1. The XENA locks needs a battery replacement every 8 months (In case you take alarm locks)
2. Cost difference was huge.
But believe me there is nothing better than XENA. Nobody would dare touch your bike & they will the scared by that 110 db sound.Hero Honda Karizma
