Thank you for that piece of advice Janesh! I was going to get around to doing it but couldn't find a good fabricator near my house, just a carpenter...will let you know once I finally get it made.Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostA light weight alu ramp would be costly. Maybe you can get hold of a fabricator and design one yourself. All it requires is 4 "L" shaped angles for the frame and maybe a lighter guage plate in the middle. You get floor plates which have a pattern for grip.
I have done one and use thick plywood for the middle covered with antislip mat.
Of course aluminium would be light weight
.Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

I dont have a picture, but i just checked, it was hard to judge the level from the outside, so i removed the coolant cap and peeked inside (engine was cold so it was safe to do so), The green liquid is just about 2-3 inches from the cap... which means it's filled beyond the max level of the compensating tank !!Originally posted by Shubz View PostCan you also post a pic of the coolant level indicator, indicating the level of fluid inside?
No wonder it was splattering when the engine got hot ! Way to go KTM service personnel !

I just checked out the pics of the crash bobbins installed on the bike (on the fb page). It seems they are mounted in place of the leg guard. I believe the stock leg guards are better than those bobbins.Originally posted by joshzma225 View PostI guess you could help us understand if we really need them or not, What happened when you fell from your KTM? did you have any damage to your front fork lowers or even the swing arm area? Or was the front Leg guard enough to save the bike? I guess they recommend the use of the crash bobbins if you ride the bike without a leg guard a la Europe KTM 125 DUKE
Super nice. Where did you get those from? How much? Can you upload pics of the whole bike with rim stickers.Originally posted by joshzma225 View PostCheck it AAAAAAOUT...

removing of air filter
hi ivin, do you ride without air filter all the time? is it advisable because we have some much dust on our roads?Originally posted by Ivin View PostIts an awesome sound after removing the air filter ...
The vain is, the service is a good 400 kms away from Calicut...

Niggles with 2 weeks old and 2000Km run Duke
Had a few long rides and a little tour with my Duke. Noticed some niggles lately.
1. The fuel indicator has failed twice. Once it fails, it doesn't work for a day. It starts working again after a day or so! Something is wrong with the the fuel sensor I think.
2. High speed up shifts (read 80+Kmph) from 5th to 6th sometimes causes trouble. The bikes finds it difficult to settle to 6th (As if there's a false neutral in between). But eventually it gets there. Happened 5-6 times in past 1000Km. Note that, there's absolutely no issue at lower speeds.
3. Tires seem to be nail magnets. 2 nails in the rear right now! Need to fix it today.
Anyone facing these issues here?
PS: All this doesn't take away the fun! Did a non-stop 410Km ride yesterday (of course not counting a 3 min fuel stop
). Took me 5 hrs
I have rightly named this one "Tornado"

awesome!! 410 km in 5 hr. Nice. Funnily, never really perceived the bike as nail magnet, but yes, me too have had couple of "nail biting's in the rear tire". Am not too sure if this is a special Duke's case... could just be coincidenceOriginally posted by shreeda View PostHad a few long rides and a little tour with my Duke. Noticed some niggles lately.

Yeah, may be coincidence. But I was wondering may be this has something to do with the soft compound used in those Revz!Originally posted by RUD House View Postawesome!! 410 km in 5 hr. Nice. "Fuel indicator failing" ... what exactly happens?Originally posted by shreeda View Post1. The fuel indicator has failed twice. Once it fails, it doesn't work for a day. It starts working again after a day or so! Something is wrong with the the fuel sensor I think.
Also, there are air bubbles in the right side engine fairing in my KTM. Anyone else faced the same?
