THIS BIKE IS DEFINITELY FOR SOLO RIDING

P.S. the only way for rider to know the pillion is still on seat is to keep talking while riding

      • Got my Duke a couple days back. It's been more than 8 years now since i as much as even touched a bike. But was pleasantly surprised to see that i could just ride my Duke from the dealership back home. And of course, got some attention on the way with people driving up to enquire the cost, mileage etc. Got my lid today. So will be having a blast tomorrow.

Took my 6 yr old son for a couple rides. Now there are 3 things i can turn to when he is up to his shenanigans. Ice cream, chocolate and a ride on the Duke. He was none the merrier when he saw the bike the first time, didn't even bother to give it a longer look but a single ride made a convert out of him.

BTW, there are 2 Dukes in our parking lot now and the other rider is also an xBHPian.

Prevention is better than cure. And often, a lot cheaper too.

Yeah, i felt odd about that too. Usually i say something about such things to the person concerned but this day was different. I didn't want some jerk spoiling my feelings at that point in time.

            • Breached 8k rpm...

Watta day...great way to start the year...

Relatives poured in today to check out the bike from different cities, all stuck with awe

I m really stunned to see strangers even now stare the bike on road, Ppl still ask about the bikes mileage and performance...full celebrity feeling...

Did a 110kmph today with my 2 cousins (8 and 10yrs old) on board, the feeling was beyond imagination, they are the future generation riders & i have fuelled their imaginations...

Happy Ugadi to all fellow 25Bhpians...

But (Witnessed small quantity of petrol and coolant leak which is normal i presume)

              • Another proud KTM owner...

Hi!! ... I am following XBhp since 3-4 years.. and joined 2year ago... after spending 6 years on star city.... finally now I found myself eligible enough to post in an ownership thread.

I got my Duke on 15th March here in Vadodara and today I have completed 155km only. March is very busy month for me in my office but this weekend I think I would get some time to take my baby Duke out for a ride 100+ Km. Here are some pics of my duke...

                • Helmet stickering, Hyderabad

Hi, I want to customize my helmet to go with my KTM... any good stickering shop in Hyderabad? Also, any good designs that can go with the 200 Duke style and color?

                  • When I visited the PBK the last time, had a look at the power parts and their pricing. I planning to get the tank pad and rim stickers but, the prices are slightly on the higher side. So, what are the other options for a tank pad and rim stickers. Has anyone tried any other tank pads apart from the KTM ones?

Best bet are the tank pads from http://www.planetdsg.com/tankpads-c-81.html or http://www.performanceracing.in/Cate...tank-pads.aspx, they cost around 0.9k and 1.1k respectively.
You can get Rim Sticker strips from the above sites or get it done at ur local automobile sticker shop(Pudhupettai ).

Congrats on ur Bike, I see you are using the KTM branded gloves from the HK shipper from ebay.

For 1.5K they look good but like to know whether they are of good quality and the comfort/Safety they offer. Would like to order a pair myself.
                      Thanks

But none of the tank pad looks good on the duke.

Before purchasing any riding gloves or any riding gear for that matter one needs to try it out for the fit and to discover the comfortable level. But, if You shop online You won't get that option.

                              • Ktm duke 200 my biggest mistake

I got the delivery of my bike on 16th marth and done around 320km. One evening I went for a ride and after 10km I was in 5th gear pulling from 4000rpm and I got a sudden forward jerk and engine died while me at about 50-60kmph . Then I pressed the started again and It started but now it was showing warning light glowing red (fuel injection lamp). I continued to ride and I noticed that on the console rpm was fluctuating from 1k to 7k but actually engine speed was constant. The engine shut down 2 more time on my way back home. I took it to service center next day at 2:30pm and after 1hr the warning light vanished and I left for home but again on my way back the light came up again and I took it back to service center and waited there till about 6:30pm but problem was not solved so I left the bike there and even on next day the problem was not solved. Today I got a call that problem is solved and they rode it for 50km and it was ok they asked for 150rs for petrol which I paid thinking that atleast problem is solved but again on my way back warning light came and bike started giving jerks and engine died and then I started it again then rpm and engine temp was not displayed. Now I am fed up of this KTM duke.
