Quick question, why do you guys have to take so much trouble for registration and no and insurance?
Here when we purchase a bike, you get insurance with bike, no plate in 2 days and RC is delivered within 20 days and meanwhile you're given a Paper RC.

Hey It's all becoz of that BS3 rule.... All the dealers were busy in pushing the old BS3 stocks so... everything was on hold w.r.t BS4 vehicles

So I got my Red NS two days back. Beautiful bike I must say! Although the full clutch setting is giving me a hard time
The gears were mighty hard, but they are getting better.
After all the PDI that I did..Just after 2 days one side of the turn indicator isn't working. Can someone help me find the wires to it and maybe help me fix it myself. I'm going to the showroom tomorrow to get my reg no. So im going to inform this to him but if someone know how to fix this please do share!

Changing the Handle, Clip on to Pulsar RS 200. Is this Conversion Possible?

This bike gives hard time driving in traffic due to its lenghty out ward handle bar.

On the other hand RS 200 handle looks compact and inward which i think is better in City traffic.

Experts need some advice, suggestion on this.

I replaced mine at 3yrs/8000 kms. It was 200 bucks and I didn't care very much to shell out extra 200 bucks. I would advise you to replace all the menial stuffs which are pain in ass when they go wrong.

                    A controversial topic here!
For the run in period the manual specifies max speed for every gear till 1k KMS mark and then till 2k KMS . If I am to follow those speeds (or try to)
I've to shift at 4k or 5k rpm. If I shift to 6th gear the engine lugs(obviously cuz top speed specified in 6th is 48) and we aren't supposed to do that. So do I ignore the 6th gear? Also how do I explore the rev band (hi-mid-low) without breaking above speed limits. This is my first bike run in and I'm really sorry if my questions are stupid. Also I read about how modern made engines don't require long run in ( because of the precision of machines during the make of the engine) but actually only need 100 odd KMS. And we're supposed to go through the whole rev band and also push till the end ( piston rings and cylinder bore surfaces have to wear against ). Makes sense theoretically but I'm not sure. What're your thoughts? Help me out?

If modern engines don't require run in, then why does the RS 200 have a run in of 2000 kms?

And if modern engines are all alike, and both Bajaj and Honda have similar quality and precision engines, why does the CBR 250 have only 500 kms of running in with no RPM limit?

Both companies can't be wrong. Running in, is generally required in all bikes, from RE to Japs.

I'm not an expert here but will try to answer this question as far as I know ....

Up to 500km try to ride below 4 to 5k rpm... and ride within city traffic.... this way u will get to use all the gears.... so all the gears will become smooth...... I guess the 1st service is around 500KM...so after completing 1st service try to increase the rpm and speeds gradually slowly... don't accelerate suddenly and don't try to reach the top speeds.... try to reach 100 but do not stay too long at 100.... once you complete 1000 again try to raise the speeds above 100 and as said earlier don't try to attain that speed quickly.... this way engine will set slowly without much wear and tears...

Don't do too much babying and don't rip it hard.... both are not good way to do run ins...

                          Ride safe
                          Cheers

I get your point. I know all bikes require run in. But that wasn't my question in the first place.I just wanted to know with respect to the NS 200 how the run in is to be done. Was a little confused about that. But thanks anyways!
