The charged me Rs 780 for 1.4 litre of oil.Originally posted by rahuldevnath View PostI have recently that Bajaj Service centers are pushing in for some 3M additive for all the bikes, which ofcourse is not required and just way making money.
I would advice all 200NS owners to ask for each and every cost before the bill is made and ask the SVC guys not put any thing extra.
Out of these costs:
Engine Oil = Rs.650 (What's the exact price of Dtsi Oil / per litre)?
Oil Filter = Rs.74 (This is fine)
Engine Oil Additive = Rs.98 (Just a way of making money, not required)
Chain Wash = Rs. 75 (Generally Charged every time, but not required at least for first servicing)
Fuel injector Cleen = Rs.40 (Please do go back and ask them firmly about this, there are no injectors in 200)
labour = 50 (labour for what?)
VAT on oil @ 20% = Rs.130 (Seem, 1.4 Litre of Dtsi oil is 750 bucks! Quiet costly compared to even Motul 3100SS)
This from my experience of 9 years of different pulsar ownership.
Will surely ask them about the injector thing.
I have not ridden my NS for really long stretches but yesterday I rode it for 70kms non stop and NO there was no heat issues as to what you are describing. I could hear/sense the radiator fan working but there was no feeling heat wave/blast towards my legs.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View PostOMG , after going through the duke ownership thread here i am pretty scared to go for duke .. my pulsar 200ns booking is still on .. any ns owners feeling engine heat after riding for a while ?

issues common with all dukes --Originally posted by Shibadip View PostWelcome back to our thread!!!!!!!!!
BTW, what do you think are the main issues in DUKE??
-- engine overheating very quickly due to which the bike drastically loses performance and the gears become incredibly hard.. many dukers are getting their legs and thighs fried
-- gear slips , mis-shifts , false neutrals between gears( deadspots)
-- fork oil leakage
-- exhaust pipe near engine is loosing color and the chrome plating is peeling off ..
-- engine dies suddenly while riding .. can only start again after turning off the key and on again ..
-- chain goes loose every few kms and starts slapping the swing arm ..
-- duke engine seized before first service ( 4 dukes in team-bhp thread)..
ns shares same engine block with duke but dukers are getting their legs and thighs fried with just 15 mins of riding ..they even say that the heat can be felt by pillion and also by the people standing around them at the signal lights ..Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThe charged me Rs 780 for 1.4 litre of oil.

In that case, the issue is quite deep.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Postissues common with all dukes --

Senior members,
since 200NS, shares the same platform, and are produced in the same plant as duke, could the same problems come up with NS as well in the future!!

BTW, mileage of 48.03!! Too good man..
I always believed, that 200NS can give 45+ mileage, since they claimed 58 at the time of unveiling.
200NS has the capability of serving the dual purpose.
If 1 wants fun, he can rep the bike hard, and it will deliver with all the power, while if one drives at low revs, then it will provide you with wonderful mileage.

Sorry for the confusion, the Rs 50 mentioned in the bill as labour charges is for the coolant top up actually. I remember now as the billing guy was asking the supervisor in which head should they bill the coolant top up and he said put it as labour.

oh god .. they describe it as unbearable .. they even stop for the bike to cool down..Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThat seems to be some serious heat, thats definitely not the case with NS i can guarantee you that, atleast in my case.
dont worry man .. if these issues are not there at present then they wont come up at all .. i say this because these issues are faced by the dukers from day 1 itself ..Originally posted by Shibadip View PostIn that case, the issue is quite deep.

Thats really strange as both the bikes share the same block and even the internals are very similar, the oil filter and its cap had KTM written on it on my bike and the mechanic told me that if you open up the engine you will find many KTM components inside. He said he saw them while he went for training at pune.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Postoh god .. they describe it as unbearable .. they even stop for the bike to cool down..

Hey you had messaged me and I am still to reply.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View PostOMG , after going through the duke ownership thread here i am pretty scared to go for duke .. my pulsar 200ns booking is still on .. any ns owners feeling engine heat after riding for a while ?
But keep in mind that the duke has been around for a while now and has been bought by enthusiastic people mostly. So not even a single tiny problem would go unreported. So you'll get more reports of 'issues'.
All the bikes when launched are 'issue free' IMO
. The CBR and the duke for example. Both were eagerly anticipated and people went for them. Issues did crop up for both of them later as experiences started pouring in.
The NS has only been ridden by a handful of people here and that too for not so long. Surely in 1 or 2 months' time issues would be reported here too.
PS : On my way to office today Saw a black NS on display at Sai Service just before Airoli Bridge. Took a small break to check out the bike. It was the first time I saw it in flesh. The bike does appear big. The tank and the shrouds make it look very aggressive. THe seats are definitely softer and comfier than the duke.Pillion would be happier but only just as compared to the duke because I think the rider's seat is longer than on the duke. The fit and finish is good too but looked a notch below than what we get on the duke though. The headlamps were great.
I found the black colour a bit dull. May be becuase it was a rainy and gloomy morning and the orange duke was near it
. Probably black is meant for that purpose. Being invisible and stealthy. BUt the NInja Black better meets these qualities. Yellow was not on display so can't comment.
All in all the bike has great presence and would have so even more in the brighter colours.

Better find out with the service guys bro.. P200NS doesn`t have a Fuel Injector.. only Duke 200 does.. this is bad!Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThey recommended the additive, 2 small bottles, one in fuel tank and other in engine oil chamber. There was an amount of Rs.75 which was deducted from the value of the bill and mentioned as coupon service.
@govind.one : I also didn't understand this, saw it mentioned in the bill when I came back home.sigpic
