  • ^^Getting a 40T rear sprocket is not a problem, FZ comes with a 40T rear sprocket but I am more interested in changing the front sprocket to 16T.
    Will see if i can still find the eliminator's or RX135 front sprocket? But can anyone tell whether it would be a straight fit?(for honda dazzler)

        NO, both won't fit.
        I can confirm that the RX135 front sprocket is NOT a direct fit. Someone tried it once I think on one of the Indian bikes.
        And Chain Pitch of Eliminator is .520 so you can NOT fit that directly too.

        Also, FZ's rear sprocket has 6 holes, instead of 4 for Dazzler. So, it won't fit.

        Try Ambition's sprocket which is 38 teeth for some serious over-gearing. It should fit most probably. If overgearing is a bit too much, you can get a 14T front to equalize it too.

        Stock Setup = 42/15 = 2.8

        Setup 1 = 38/15 = 2.533 (moderate overgearing)

        Setup 2 = 2.714 (slight overgearing)

        I think it should fit as it fits on Unicorn, which also has 42/15 setup like Dazzler.
        Good luck, and let us know what happened here...

        • Thanks Samarth, this really helped me a lot. I think i will go with your Setup 2 => 38/14 = 2.714.
          So now I can use the 38T rear sprocket from ambition......but,
          1> which bike's 14T front sprocket would be a direct fit for honda unicorn dazzler?
          2>Also is there any need to change my stock chain? If yes, then which chain should I get for this 38/14 setup?

            I mean, use the 14 teeth from Ambition itself. Sorry, forgot to mention it in my earlier post.

            See, chain adjustments are possible upto 2-3 teeth only, so you might need a smaller chain. I'm not sure if O-ring chains' links can be cut down without any problem, like normal chains can be.
            Yours is an open chain, so I recommend you keep the same chain in any case...
            Just take your mechanic's opinion on keeping/ cutting it.

            At the same time, if all this seems complicated try TVS Centra's 40 teeth sprocket, which IF installed, will not require chain modification. I'm not sure if it will fit directly though.

                sorry for OT guys, i'm not good at holding things in:
                my chain is an open type (so i think its 'o' ring chain) and its links have been removed few times. (that's what you mean by cutting chain na??

                .
                @Amit,
                an xbhp member has used 16t front (stock was 14t) in his stunner. So it means compatible 16t sprocket is available.

                • Guys, would changing the front sprocket of my p220 dtsi to make the gearing taller void the warranty??

                  also which sprocket would be a direct fit for the front to over gear it??

                          Not possible. Yours is a 13 Teeth, and a 12 teeth is not available as far as I know.

                          Warranty must not be void, unless its extreme gearing. Warranty in India is anyway problem specific, which means if your electronics have been spoilt, the service centre won't check the sprockets to void the warranty.

                          A 15T/16T sprocket in size .520 is not made in India. Even in rear sprocket, P220 has the smallest 36T, so over-gearing it is difficult.

                          The only solution is to change the entire chain kit to a .428 from another bike.

                            He's saying here that it is 16/42 setup: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post560542

                            A 16/42 setup is available with the Newer Eliminator (2005 onwards I think). Older Eliminator (2001-04) has 15 teeth upfront I think.
