Did a trip to Nandi Hills today with wife. Apart from being stopped by cops four times everything else went fine. Engine breaking is a real dampener. The riding position is good, ride quality is good, vibes are tolerable in higher gears but engine breaking-I HATE IT! It tired me out and I don't fancy riding long distances on this. Will stick to my car. I stuck to 3.5-6k rpm band for most of the ride. I didn't make too much of the 5000RPM shift indicator as the limit during running in is 7500RPM. I didn't come anywhere close to that as I was mostly cruising (or trying to) at 80-90kmph. I did touch 111kmph briefly in 6th gear. Seems to be a fuel guzzler. I did a tank full before the start of the trip and now there are only three bars left. My wife didn't find the pillion seat uncomfortable though she did say the seat is hard. You need to be active on this bike, accelerating, braking, changing gears, accelerating again. Not meant for people who want to slot in one gear build some decent speed and leave it at that. Demands too much attention! Hating the attention the bike is getting on the roads. Won't blame the people, bike does look like a whacko. the fuel gauge was showing half full but in between 2 lines were missing. Came back home restarted the bike, still the gauge is same. Opened the tank and there was enough fuel, but inside, the side part of the gauge was wet. Now i'm wondering if water has gone inside the gauge. Didnt have time to check since i had to go back to work. Any ideas??

I had this issue for the past couple of days. The second bar was missing. But today when I filled full tank the bar appeared.

In Bangalore. Got this done at "Auto Service" Bansankari. Ofcourse, he outsourced it to someone else, but i wasn't willing to leave my metzelers lying around without rims in any random paint/workshop.

Got few questions here folks ... Hope someone could help me ....

1) I saw engine heat bar in the console go all the way upto second last in the bar ( Should I worry about it ? or is it normal ? )
2) While decelerating I hear some noise in the front console ( Any solutions for this ? )

Thanks man...planning to go for a ride tomorrow..lets see what happens...by the way.. i was just thinking...by any chance did you not start your bike for couple of days before this problem appeared?
