Better wait for some time, the spares will be out shortly.Don't sell off your bike, you won't get much for it and you'd have to invest 80k on a new bike which won't be a drastic improvement over what can be done to your bike.
The ABS controller and Actuators are separate units not connected with TCI, and if made available can be done as as ADD on....The DISCS, The CALIPERS all form part of it and must be bought as a set.Look at the inner of the disc you will see tiny slots for rotation sensor...and caliper set contains the sensor for this...

Not worth the trouble. I thought the ABS will be a part of the ECU/TCI.

TVS has a separate ECU/Controller for the ABS,which had been developed as an add on to the RTR.

Since it's a TVS ,it's bound to be relatively cheap and if it's a add-on then that's a good thing once the spares come out.
As far as my bike's concerned,i've no plans for it my rear brake already acts like an ABS brake system.Due to the modification done for the rear-set the leverage of the brake pedal has been reduced when we shortened it.So in short, for anyone riding my bike for the first time , who is used to heavy rear brake usage, will get the shock of his life .
As far as my riding style is concerned i rely on the front disc for stopping. It's a good thing too ,as due to the low handle and front ward weight bias the front disc has become very affective.

For Abhi it's nothing ! ABS has been added to the dowry list!! along with 1 FZ handle, one unit of osram halogen bulb, tyre 3.00 18 with tube.Should the tacho be added to the dowry list as well?

Since Gixxer cannot appreciate himself on his ABS, I would like to take this oppurtuntity to do so..

first & foremost, make no mistake of his ABS, it is not antilock braking system, it is Anand braking system , In antilock it helps you prevent wheel locks & in here it helps you prevent by braking itself

His rear brake pedal is very nice on one thing, keeping it as footrest , really I cant use the rear sets he has done & every small ride I have taken his bike, I have used brake pedal as my foot rest

Thank god he has a disc brake set up, up front else god knows how will this bike stop

Coming to dowry list, I will take care of it, If they are ready to give, y simply ABS & all, I will buy the RTR 180 itseld ( Just kidding)

                • Why is everyone behind RTR 180 ABS? Is this Anand's influence?

I've tried my best in the past to convince others to go for the RTR's .This time around ,it's tintin and others i think.

I think the ABS alone will cost 6 to 8 K, not including fitting and aligning...and the Special Disc Plate ,with slots, will be extra

It is like ABS,in the sense that it never locks up,in fact if you press on the pedal, it feels similar to pressing the clutch lever!! I bet you'd never dare to ride my bike on the highway!! Although i shouldn't have revealed it to you, till you found it out for yourself on the highway!!

I've been riding my bike with just one brake and lot of prayers till now .So that's a luxury for my bike! which might spoil it's prayer inducing "character".See the brighter side,it has made non-believers into believers within a short ride.

Guys, I've been a silent spectator in this thread for a while since Nano started his super mods. To be honest you guys are enjoying and entertaining here by pulling each others legs with the hilarious shots and literally hijacking this thread I must say that you are doing injustice to another thread which is lying idle for a while.

                            Here's it:

I guess you guys will watch this thread and hope you all can revive it back by contributing few of you snaps here The sense of humor you guys are having has to be shared among others too.

This is just my suggestion and hope everyone will take this in the right spirit. P.

But you have good front disc brake system....good enough to make the rider SUPERMAN, to Fly through air and conquer all impediments and, Stop On coming Traffic with Bare Teeth...

I donno about myself but Abhi may need to use his feet and teeth to make his bike stop suddenly!! because his bike has literally no brakes!! as its drum at both ends!! he means his shoes ,when he says the brake shoes are worn out!! that's why within city he uses chappal with tyre treads as soles!!!
