Thanks for taking all the trouble for me that day Anand. I owe you one bro. Mr. Murthy is still trying to source the original camshaft. I've asked him to give me the bike only when it's in perfect condition. I dont want to rush him as i want a quality job done this time.

Another day or two i guess.

Yeah man. I'm feeling so depressed and upset and angry that i got cheated.

Yeah i have the ninja and thankfully the service is top notch. But i dont take the bike to work as i hate to see it being abused by curious folks.

Most mechs do this routinely , and unless we sit with knowledge with our bike ,when it is worked upon,..our bikes are at the mercy of these mechanic....
One reason I always request most members here to go to the A.S.S. is because they are at least a little bit more knowledgeable and accountable, than the road side guy.
Wishing you get the bike back in good condition soon....now that Anand and Zen are at it.

It's the least i can do bro.No need to thank me,i found out about ZEN from x-bhp and got to know Mr Murthy by picking his brain about the works done on their bikes.Let's hope that they do a good job of it and do keep in touch with Mr Murthy rather than anyone working at ZEN.He's a genuine person and he'll get a good job done.

I feel your springs are weak or oil level is not as recommended. But you say the fork is hard and bumpy so oil level question is not valid. Get your springs checked. Mud guard hitting leg guard has nothing to do with cone set.

          * Hope u don't have a huge pipe type leg guard. If that is the case increase the length of fork by half inch using heightner bush.
good for you that u got your bikes cone set replaced under warranty!!! after 8 yrs i am still using the same old cone set!!! my friend also has a F2 drum brake version, by default even he had the same problem, got it changed just a year back, and ever since has the same problem... he spent some 350 bucks or so...

          • Guys!!! Thanks for your valuable inputs... I know for sure it must be the front fork springs. Will get it replaced ASAP... probably this weekend.

What is the recommended oil level for the front fork for Classic Fiero?
The mech says 125ml but we tried a bit more and now I have approx 160+ml.

Gixxer has classic pulsar springs.. which other ones can be used if the OEM is not available?

thanks for your inputs and suggestions!

I remember I'd bought a Fiero Carb (OEM) for Rs. 3750 about two years back.

I had filled 160ml in my last service & my front fork become too heavy, thier was no action at all in my forks, then I reduced it to 130ml each & now it is quiet ok, as per my mech it is 150ml each rod but i am not sure as yet to confirm on this.

I dont advise to put splendour ones, please check for Classic Pulsar springs or go for OEM tvs ones, Pulsar will be cheaper if you can find & better compared to TVS OEm which costs 400rs a Pc

Put any of the ones mentioned, even samurai ones too will do.But the only thing is it has to be original one, otherwise it'll keep going for a toss.

Thanks Gixxer bro... Let me scout around the market. I guess a TVS Victor one will do too. So, I assume they must all be of approximately the same size right?

and does that mean filling it up with new oil and oil seal again?

No need bro,old oil and seals will do.If i rem correctly, you had changed the springs too right? If yes ,this time around get good strong ones,so that you wont have to keep on getting it reconditioned.

No bro... I have never changed the springs... they are still stock... thus I did not know about the spring problem. The new ones better be original ones ... so that I can have peace of mind and body. Pulsar ones sound good. Are all of them the same type? length... thickness ... hardness etc?

No bro,the ones that suit our bikes are that of pulsar first gen.Do one thing, get any spring which matches that of yours, then try and go for a bike's which is still in production.

Then just make sure that the springs are strong and will last a while.Try and find Samurai/Shogun ones too ,they are good.
