      • An Ownership Update!

        An Update:
My Fiero F2 has completed nearly 70K Kms . Still enjoy the one kick start during morning, smooth riding, fantastic stability around 80Kms speed and of course around 49-50 Km/lt mileage .
Every time i see a Pulsar, Unicorn or any new shining bike going faster than me, i think twice and say to myself => those new bikes give mileage around 45-50 Km/Lt SAME AS MINE...then why the hell should i go for a new bike just for some extra speed and pull.
My bike even after completing almost 7 years(Sept '03 model) with me is not lost power either(may be slightly).
Well.. as all bikes has some short comings... my bikes' age old problem of oil leakage is not yet resolved, have shown it to each and every recommended(here) service shops but in vain. Other than than not much a problem... enjoying smoothly..

        Regards,
        Ramki

Sure Vishal... have already discussed this issue earlier but shall post pics soon. Its the Engine oil leakage near the engine opening, damn the mechanics say all type of reasons and say will stop and after 15 days, the oil leakage starts again

            • a very common problem for f2 at-least bro..
I've been dealing with it even after a complete engine makeover just 1800 kms before...

gaskets, packing, paste, keep this handy and you'll live happily...

that's true what you say about today's cool and flashy bikes... but 50 kmpl mileage??
              i get around 40-43
maybe you ride tooo smooth or i ride tooo rough...

YEAH NANOtechnology.. its true. I ride a bid harshly thats all... will always be in around 60 Km/hr speed. I do not ride in high speed as i fear of skidding(already once was on mud).. all thanks to MRF Zappers . May be for that matter i do get such figures.

                  • MRF Zappers are not at all good. I wonder how people ride with these tyres in the rain and that too on tyres which almost no threads left.

I am currently running on Michelin M45 3.25 X 18 .Good tyre for both dry and wet conditions.

                    • I've used those MRF ones in the front, i dunno what they are called but they are very common for old 100 cc bikes, the scale ones only have 4-5 lines that's it...
its wonderful in rains and amazing at low corners but locks up at breaking hard so that's the only issue..

the rear dulnop is so far the best tire I've used.
amazing in both wet and dry.

Saw your headlight setup man, its really good. Just waiting for the rains to get over,so that I can also convert my bike to DC and plonk in a 55w bulb.

                          • dude.
oil leak is history so far..
but there's a new problem, not that big though maybe you'll understand..

i don't exactly know as how to explain it,
what happens is that when i ride at say 60 and i revv the bike to reach 80 my bike keeps revving harder but speed doesn't increase (it feels as if the clutch is pressed while riding)
if i hold the revv higher it slowly reaches that speed and gel's up with the engine..
but this used to happen before swapping clutch plates too, but now it happens on every gear unlike before..
                            and more easily

i think you got what i mean...
                            what should i do ??

                            • Hi Friends ,Fiero-lovers and fellow xbhpians.
This is my 2002 model Suzuki Fiero. She has a 195cc heart ,its the latest i've done to her.Firstly her handle was changed to that of a std bullet one within 4 months of her entering my life, then the head light of the pulsar in 2003,then once i shifted to Bangalore in 2004 came the disc brake from the pulsar, then her handle was put upside down to lower it even further and with it came the rear-sets.In between these changes she had a bullet's rocket silencer too for a brief period.
Since the latest increase in her capacity she has done about 1600 kms now. She has let her hair down now and is getting naughtier by the km.
When i took her into my life i chose her because of her engine, chassis ,gear-box and for her hot performance(screaming top-end!!).I was never a fan of her plain jane looks. But i had seen the potential and now i have given her a make over to make her look the way the goddess of love intended her to look.
PS: Since the pictures were taken i've replaced her crash guard with that of the RTR.
                              Regards
                              Anand

Looks neat, clean & well maintained Fiero. I love that.

You have mentioned about the increase in capacity. Kindly share some light on this..

Also you have put Pulsar's disc kit. Can you share some details on this also as I am planning to get this installed on my bike. I mean what all stuff do you need and any cutting or welding jobs??
