      You have a lot of options.Firstly my bike has the classic pulsar's head light assembly and it costs around 500 bucks.Then there are FX and ambition's which are similar in size ,or you can opt for the samurai's which is smaller than the pulsar's.
      If you do opt for the pulsar's ,then it would be a good idea to buy from a spares dealer than the bajaj showroom ,as in bajaj showrooms you would have to buy all the parts individually and then taxed individually as well .Were as you can buy the whole assembly in other spare shops.
      You can keep the speedo console .I've done the same too.

            Its not advisable to get such things done at a ASS. Go to a local mech he'll do the modifications and the charges will be minimal .

              here's the price list..

              coil rewinding ---> 500-600 rs (multiple times)
              ape rr ----> 1200 rs
              orignal fiero F2 headlight assembly ----> 900 rs
              skoda octavia's projector -----> 250 rs
              p220's high beam reflector ----> 50 rs
              amaron 9 amp battery -----> 1894 rs
              all console changed to led's -----> 300 rs
              a silver paint to give a finishing touch ---> 50 rs
              hid kits (2 of them with additional relay) ----> can't quote (navnish will kill me)
              acrylic plate to mount stuff on ----> 100 rs
              silicon jet to hold the glass back -----> 180 rs
              amount of time, efforts and brains involved ----> priceless..

              that's EXPENSIVE, but i wanted to do it anyhow, so i did it...
              trust me guys, its worth EVERY penny put into it..

              @ tintin..
              dude, if you put up a round headlamp on fiero, it won't look good, as the console when naked will give a downmarket feel.
              change your consoles too, or if possible try to attach a glass over the headlight which will hide your current console..

                dude are you 100% sure that apache 180's block will fit out current fiero's engine??
                i am ready to get jetting done, and I'll sort out other tweaks later on, but will it work with 180's block?
                will i have to buy the head of apache's too?

                how much will be the cost, including everything...

                  The 180's block is straight fit on the Fiero, I already have it on my bike, but don't expect Fiero's refinement after the change.

                  • Wow!! apache 180's block on the F2's engine!!!! thats gr8!! there must be a huge increase in power and pick up. but does it match well with the stock 4 gear setup of the F2s?? has the top speed increased?? if yes then how much??

                    and how much did it cost you??

                    • There is just no comparison in the way the bike feels to the original. The torque, the revvs, the vibes all are so different, why are u concerned about the top end, you should see the way the speedometer climbs to 80, 1st gear 40, 2nd gear 80, 3rd 105, then it slows down. By the way I have gone for taller gearing on my bike, hence the bigger speeds in each gear.
                      U will also need a bigger carb, the stock carb wont do much. I have also gone in for the RTR's CDI ignition setup, so no revv limiter you see, the bike just keeps on revving

                      • wow, that's amazing..
                        what's the total cost?
                        which carb did you go for?

                        and you didn't answer me about the head, should that be replaced too?
                        total cost INCLUDING everything??
                        even the CDI.....

                        and please enlighten me with the drawbacks...

                        • The cost comes to somewhere around 8K. The head my mech managed to get a reasonably used head for a lesser price. A brand new original head will cost somewhere around 8K+, another 1K for BS29 carb (mine has P180's). The over all cost might come to somewhere around 10K .

                          I would still advice to get the engine mods done from some one like Joel, as he manages to get better performance compared to the stock head.

                          The biggest drawback is NVH. Noise, vibes, harshness . If you can live with them then go ahead.

                          • oopsey ...

                            i already got Boring done and other tweaks to keep my dying engine alive..
                            i am facing some minor oil issues, i thought that the block might be damaged, so just in case if i open it up and find out that its faulty, then i thought why not go for 180's block..

                            lets wait and watch, if the block is damaged, I'll have to do it, as i don't want to return to the same old 147cc..
                            if not then all these things need not be done.

                            by the way, why didn't you go in for the same apache's carb?

                            • My bike has been running a big bore setup since 2006, long long before the A180 came in, also the P180 carbs are available dirt cheap in the scrap market, a brand new A180 carb will set u back by 4K+.

                              By the way the A150 and RTR 160 use smaller BS26 carbs. Only the 1 year old A180 uses the BS29 carb,

                              • Wow! I'm sure the light Fiero should fly if given so much bump in power ... imagine a 180 cc bore or even a ZMR bore with carbs to match the size...
