My advise is ,don't go for fiero carb because it's a bit more complicated than that of the pulsar carbs and pulsar carbs are available easily too.
you mean to say i go for a brand new pulsar carb? for now i do not have any sort of modifications in mind gixxer. so which pulsar carb should i go for. another query! fiero carbs are BS26. does it mean a 26mm? i do not want to compromise on the fuel economy. i'll be extremely happy if i get 55kmpl out of any well tuned carb. any suggestions? the last mech spoilt every part of my engine. he has lossened every damn bolt in my engine. i've lost 300ml of oil. Wonder wat the hell was on his damn mind. i've never had such horrible experiences with my bike since its always been maintained properly, low on usage and always serviced whenever it needed. i've never seen my engine oil go black. never let it reach such a stage. for every oil change i would change the filter as well. i guess my bike's been jinxed

Gixxer Bro, Can we expect the same mileage with a Pulsar 29mm carb? or is it going to drink more fuel? I guess it probably will drink more... but just a though.

Unless the original design is flawed, upjetting or larger venturi carb will definitely reduce the FE from stock.

Go for any 26mm CV carb of the pulsar then.Even honda unicorn's carb will do.

No need to go for a brand new one, just make sure it works on your bike and that should be it.

Yeah bigger carb's do make a difference to the FE of a stock bike bro.If the engine's worked on,if it has a higher compression and better breathing .Then it might be more efficient than stock at higher revs/speeds.

True. I am glad it is useful, and happy to share .I guess Nano is busy in other forums,"enlightening "others, since his pet project is upgrading bike lighting.

                        • Happy new year guys

MY fiero is busted. the mech says the cylinder blocks needs some lathe work. coz when the valve heads are tightened, it makes a whining noise when raised and do not idle. and age is taking its toll on this 8 year old TVS fiero. all the bolts break off and remaing in the engine block. i guess this TVS fiero of mine definitely is one faulty piece off the TVS factory. all of a sudden all problems. is it true that the SUZUKI FIERO parts were more durable and were made in japan? more over my TVS fiero has a much lighter exhaust note compared to any of the suzuki fieros. GUYS do you have anything to say about this. but whatever it takes i'll never feel like parting from my bike and will do anything and everything to get it to work fine

                          Cheers!

                          • Regarding the 55w bulb i had used it for a short period and the thing with it is.It will be brighter in higher revs only and on lower revs it might be less brighter than what you have.I meant ,with regard to halogen bulbs.

If you are using stock bulb ,why don't you go for a halogen one?

Fiero has a very soft rear suspension in comparison to cbz,so yes you can put it at the hardest setting.

Mileage with a pillion is ok.

Happy new year to you too buddy and what's supposed to be wrong with your fiero? what's the mech saying?

Give us more details as to what is happening.

                                Thanks bro..

That was the same case with 100/90 in my CBZ, I used to get full power of it only when I get past 5k rpm & in lower revs it looks very dull, I am ok with it since I need more light only in highway & most of the time in highway we are in high rpm's

Mine is stock bulb, thought of going for Halogen, anyhow I am going for new bulb so thought of directly going to 55/60w Instead of 35W.

What is your take on reflector ? Will it suffice the heat generated by 55W bulb ?

Thanks for confirming about the suspension, will get it set harder.

Also thanks for confirming about the mileage
