I am seeing quite a few in my locality. Saw one red ZMR, and white and black Karizmas. They look much better on the road.

Hyderabad is the place where you can see so many Karizmas. You go on the road, and you find at least 3-4 karizmas. Soon, I will be able to see so many new ZMR/ZMAs on the road here.

            First the Pros:
            1. Smooth engine.
            2. There are ample amount of torque and you can ride the bike in low speeds at the top gear and the bike pulls just beautifully with a twist of throttle.
            3. Handling is quite light I must say. The 159 kgs of the bike mentioned is just numbers as you won't feel any weight while riding it.
            4. Quality of riding is good.
            5. Seats are good and comfortable both for the rider and the pillion.
            6. City usable, riding in city traffic won't be much of a pain.
            7. The dual shocks absorb quite small potholes and humps.
            8. Changing directions even at a higher speed, doesn't take much efforts.
            9. Sudden U-turns is also not a problem in this bike.
            10. The 0-60 in 3.6 secs feels right as the bike feels quite fast.
            11. Couldn't test the top end but was able to ride to triple digits, the bike was stable but with a lot of vibs (wearing gloves will help solve this issue a bit).
            12. Good touring machine for starters who have a tight budget.
            13. The brakes are good and aid in good stopping.
            14. Though the instrument console isn't changed, it looks great for the bike's design.
            15. Good wind protection.

            Now the Cons:
            1. Vibs, vibs and more vibs (the RTR got some competition in this now :P).
            2. Style not liked by all.
            3. Errr couldn't find much cons apart from the vibs and the styling seriously.

The bike looks ugly in some angles and at the same time looks extremely good in other angles.

Verdict: As stated above, a good sports tourer for those who are having a tight budget.

OH DID I MISS THIS. . ? THE NEW ZMR IS SELLING BETTER THAN THE OLD ZMR. . .

Few more pics from my side,
PS: Use of riding gloves is a better solution for vibs as you won't be feeling that much vibs when you have your gloves on. . .

Arrrrgh seriously took that figure from a website, maxabout, so they are to be blamed :P as there wasn't a brochure available. . .
                  8. Changing directions at higher speeds? You got a chance to ride at high speeds in those few kms of TR??
It's Mysore bro, our roads are not filled with traffic, it's almost like empty, so got a chance to take it up to 3 digits, was able to easily counter-steer (to be more precise) at that speed. . .
                  9. Sudden U-turns? Where in the world do we take sudden U-turns? If you are doing so, then you are not looking at the oncoming traffic.. Just be-careful when talking "Sudden U-Turns"
Sudden U-turns or what you can call it as taking U-turn from stand still, ex: standing in a traffic signal and taking U-turn, the bike doesn't require the whole road to take the U-turn and I ain't that careless, especially with a bike that's not my own :P. . .

Vibs?? when I had a TR of the bike, I felt the vibs were much less than the previous generation ZMRs.. maybe the ZMR you had a TR on wasn't in a proper condition.. everyone else other than you have mentioned it to be smoother than before maybe you were riding a RTR dressed up in ZMR 2014 avatar
I don't know mann, may be you are right, as heard from few that there are vibs but not so much, this probably wasn't that well maintained, I guess I was one of the first few to TR it. . .

Hero bikes clutch plates last quite long unless they are abused like doing wheelies and burnouts. Have seen clutch plates changes only when engine was overhauled. Even in my Joy after i have taken care clutch plates last 70-80k. In my extreme bike has run 35.5k as of today and still the clutch feels like new when came from factory. The rear brake shoe is till OE and will last another 20k if i keep the bike. By next march bike will cross 50k or more.

Come on stop pulling his legs as he just is telling from his riding experience. May be the test ride bike was not serviced and thus was vibrating more. Now all this reviews are just tempting me to go for the New ZMR but i cannot tell you all how much i am trying to control myself.

Brilliantly reviewed man, and great photography there! I always believed the ZMR v2 looked pretty good in person, as I saw it at the auto expo earlier this year. from the nose to tail the bike has been designed very well, just gotta get used to it. Built with a purpose, it's almost worth the price tag it carries.
But let me tell you, when I saw the HX250r in detail at the expo and then looked back at ZMR v2 on display.. the ZMR looked very inferior, not even comparable to the looks and detail of the HX250r. Hero definitely has great ambitions.

also i thinks it is always better to change sprocket and chain together....just like changing rear and front tyres.?
then your friend's an idiot who doesn't know how to maintain open drive chain and sprocket, which greatly extends it's life. The outgoing Hero ZMR came with full chain covering btw, helps with longetivity, needs less maintenance.

hey guys !just came back from a 3day back and forth ride from manali to keylong on a rented bullet!cant tell you how desperately i wanted to take my new zmr up there the views were equally mesmerizing as the roads were terrible, and i decided i will go there on my own bike again and not on a rented one,but as i started exploring the roads beyond rohtang pass, the condition of the roads seriously raised my doubts and gave me seconds thoughts about what these roads will do to my bike,i mean we took two bullets and the roads were so bumpy that the silencer of the bike was constantly hitting the path and when we came back one the side stand spring had broken and one rear brake was completely broken and this i am talking about the bullet which is consider very mighty on those roads,so i began wondering what will it do to my karizma??!

my question is, now that the ground clearance has been decreased from the predecessor do you think the bike can handle that leh-manali highway and if not then can that belly pan be removed to increase the clearance and if yes then would it be wise to do so??

                        • I went to 3 diff showrooms in Hyd in search of the white color. Each place, I did a TR. At one showroom, the bike felt noisy, had lots of vibs and was struggling hard to catch speed. When I got down, I noticed that the bike was not serviced , no lubrication at all. They unloaded it from the truck, put some real mandatory things like fuel and engine oil and put it for TR. These guys had white, but I decided not to take my bike from such a place and waited 3 days to get it from an another showroom

After Xtreme, this is one bike where my body felt at home. Very nice riding stance, perfectly placed footpegs, comfy seats. Wish I could get to ride it the other day. Someday maybe. Having seconds thoughts of selling my Xtreme for this.
