Hi Prateek, They will/should replace it without the video too. But to be rest assured, capture a video if you can. It just makes your case stonger.

i just got the bike checked at the service center and it turns out that the wires attached to the battery terminals were loose and that's what was causing the problems and i also got the battery checked too just to be assured and it was working fine..

2 weeks into owning the bike, having covered 300kms, noticed the following. Thought of sharing -

              1) The bike definitely lets you know when you reach 4k RPM. You do not need to see the rmp meter.
              2) The gear shift becomes rough when the bike heats up. This happened to me twice during the horrible traffic jams in Bangalore on Thursday and Friday due to rains. I was in constant 1st an 2nd gear throughout my 8km long journey which took me 1 hr 20 mins.

              3) There was an instance when i kept my foot down in traffic, and went into a small ditch. (Water filled roads). The bike also tilted but somehow i held onto it and myself and did not let it touch down. Since then i feel the gear lever has gone rough and the bike heats up more than before. Or it may be just because of Point no. 2 (above). Please correct me if i am wrong.

              4) Went on a Airport ride today (kept sleeds below 60), and while returning, noticed this

The screw on the left of the fairing, just fell off. I am not sure if this is a normal feature. PLease advice.

Apart from this, the bike performs well in city, be it bumper to bumper. The bike is a attention magnet. Love the attention, but its also a pain sometimes as some of you have also posted earlier.

Will post more as i clocck more on the ODO.

              Thank you.

Don't worry bro, the fairing issues will be there as our roads are not built for bikes with fairing, fairing rattling, loosening are common things due to our roads. get the screw fitted soon.

there was a instance one year back where i fell down right into a pothole of rain water with the bike. the pothole was covered with red sand by the HD deapartment and over night rain has lashed the road and it the road was full of water, when i slowed down, i placed the foot right in the pothole and dugged in and fell into int. when i got up, i was looking like a sand statue.

Fairing issue is very common. I tighten them once in a month.

I am shocked and also in fear to hear the screw thing... Sounds like old bullets.. Anyways, Get all the screws of ur bike tightened.. U had a problem since day one...

My gear gets tightened after every rain, I regularly lube it.

Guys, I have a doubt. My bike has a history of tappet problem. So, I am aware of the noise it creates. Since many days I hear a very similar if not same noise at exactly 3700-3800 rpm. The ASC guy says its the FI sound when the petrol is injected raipids while I am sharply raising from low rpms to high.

And this sound is not regular. But once it comes it happens all the day. Have anyone of u noticed it?

Fi sound is a different one when compared to the tappet noise i know how exactly is the fi sound as i experienced in my old 220fi.
Tappet noise is like a sewing machine noise when does it come?? i mean while engine is hot or cold???

Does the new ZMR run 2 H7 bulbs? I'd love some beam shots if anybody has them.

Edit: I'm confused now, here it says ZMR has 6Ah battery

But on the official site Hero Karizma ZMR Bike, Karizma ZMR Price, New Karizma ZMR Specifications - Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
                        I found this
                        Electricals

                        • Battery
                          12 V - 7 Ah, MF - Wet Battery
                        • Head Lamp
                          12 V -35 W / 35W - Halogen bulb (Dual Head Light)
                        • Are they using two HS1 (35w version of H4, also having 2 filaments for high/low beam) bulbs or they developed 35w single beam bulb?
I think they should have gone for 55w H7 bulbs, which will drastically improve the lighting. H7 are single beam bulbs which produce 1600 lumen compared to HS1 (low beam 500 lumen/high beam 800 lumen) and H4 (low beam 1000 lumen/high beam 1600 lumen).

I seriously hope they are not putting in a 500 lumen HS1 in the projector body.
                        I am back!

Exactly!! That sewing machine noise. But only at that rpm range which I mentioned and no where else. And yes when engine is hot, rarely when engine is cold too

I have heard of FI's contribution in 1) Hassle free start 2) Ability to keep the engine running in cold conditions and high altitudes 3) Reduced Emissions

and 4th and most Important - Better Throttle response... Karizma Twins are only two bikes which are almost the same in all factors except the fact that ZMA has carbuerator and ZMR has FI (except rear brake and console).

I am interested in comparing the 4th factor, there may be a subtle difference yet I wanted to have a practical experience on it. So, was searching for a ZMA 2014 thread to contact a ZMA owner from Hyderabad. But I couldn't find one. Can some one help me out? MODS??
I own a 220Fi and yeah throttle response once enjoyed in an Fi bike will make you addicted to it .
The bikes ability to maintain AFR according to the situation ensures that you always have adequate power .After riding Fi bikes you will feel the carb once acting like rubber band for your throttle variation which may be highly irritating .

But all those joy gets vanished when I am haunted by the feel that Fi system going wrong and the fact that no mech is ready to work on it .And my injectors are always clogged and have some wiring issue which the SVC is hesitant to work on.

So end of the day for cheap Indian motorcycle carburetor is better and Fi bikes should be bought only if they are super reliable like your Honda or when you have a competent mech.

Totally agree to that! The fuel pump costs a bomb for zmr. But yes, till date, in xbhp, afaik, there has been not a single case of a fuel pump going bad. Or the injectors.
In your case, if you feel the injectors are clogged, try using iftex systemG. Its a fuel additive and works like charm!

Heyy i am also facing this tappet sound problem from day one but its more frequent when picking up from higher gears in low speed and sounds quite irritating and it feels like it is coming from the front fairing but how do we solve this?
