I inspected the bike which was parked in a mall parking lot, it was sure a direct fit. Today while riding home, I noticed R15's hugger and came back to confirm it.

I am not sure if the clamps and rods will be a direct fit. As R15 comes with 17" wheels while the ZMR comes with 18" wheels..

So the rods theoretically will be short by 1" ..

I could be wrong. Please feel free to correct me guys

Yes you are wrong because it will be shorter by half a inch(which can be stretched by bending or something) as 17 inch is diameter but hugger will be covering less than half part of that 17 inch wheel whereas fittings and rods will cover radius(1/2 diameter) of that wheel not diameter.

practically jugaad is possible everywhere amd since there is not much risk factor, it can be done and oops.. i forgot about diameter and radius.. hehehe.. thanks for the correction. But isnt the swing arm different? I will check out a R15 closely today..

I have waited the whole monsoon, cleaned the tail(left the exhaust dirty) section daily and water-washed every week. It's almost end of the season, I can bear 2-3 more weeks. After that, I'll reap the sexy rewards of the struggle I and my bike have endured - Damn! sexy nude mermaid tail until next monsoon. Meanwhile I'll figure out a better tyre hugger before the start of next monsoon
this tyre hugger looks fugly,i would rather have no hugger than this abomination!

Cold weather - ask ZMR tourers who get Leh'ed... Zimmer's FI excells in those cold and high altitude conditions.

Have u seen a Kick rod on a fully faired bike? and I can't see why Kick does really matter in cold days? CHOKE is what you want even in carb fitted bike.
Dead battery is an issue not an circumstance factor, just like a fused head lamp or broken chain... u have to get it repaired immediately... u don't want to have a kick rod to drive for a month or two with your dead battery. What would u do in a CAR when ur battery is dead??

Yes, Emission doesn't matter to the end user (although it matters indirectly and hence we should encourage such technology). But that's one reason Yamaha's blue core technology is talked about so much these days.... anyways I am not sure whether FI really controls emission... hence enough said about this point.

In the End all that matters is - money YOU ARE WILLING TO INVEST. I think PGM-FI is VFM technology!!!
fi does control emissions because they consume the right amount of fuel as necessary and calculated by the fi sensors..soon it is going to be mandatory for all car and bike manufacturers to equip a bike and car with fi systems..

To be precise zmr's effective tyre radius would be 17.7mm more than r15.but I think it will be like touch and go....

No offense, but thats one of the ugliest tyre huggers I have seen.

IMO the best looking ones are the R15 , P200NS and the Duke, in that order.

The indicator is gone now this time. Wire inside is cut and it's making short circuit.

They don't have the part and telling me that it will take long time
