I am also waiting for slipper clutch model patiently. I am ready to pay 30-40k more tan current price for all the updated features. Although I can live without side mounted exhaust and ride by rite. I wish they put slipper clutch, better mirrors, adjustable levers and bigger disc in 2016 models.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
go for it..you will not be dissapointed...your 100 rs will be well spentOriginally posted by thrustrev View PostI took your word for it and ordered one yesterday for my RC390 as they didn't have stock. Can't wait to see the difference. It's only a 100 bucks and there are no negative effects so I thought I'll give it a shot.
I'll update once its fit on mine!
Cheers!

Nothing yet. They haven't got the spare yet. I'll call all other service centers in Bangalore until I find someone with the part available. I'll try to get it fit today or tomorrow and update.Originally posted by Sird View PostAny update bro?

I don't think it is possible. The Duke 390 and the RC390 share the same engine. The Slipper clutch assembly will be designed for this engine and I don't think this can be fit on the 200s.Originally posted by abhi1991 View Postguys is it possible to retrofit the slipper clutch in RC200 too? Just asking
The clutch on the 200s is already much much lighter/softer than the non-slipper clutch 390s. The main reason so most of us here want the slipper clutch is to reduce the clutch stiffness for commuting as it is a real pain in heavy traffic on the 390s.
Unless you're going to take your bike to the track very often, you're good with the stock set up.
Cheers!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Actually throttle blipping is much more fun and also improves riding technique rather than just slamming down the gears without understanding the best shift points ie the beautiful balance between engine rpm and the gearbox ratiosOriginally posted by RoyalIndian View PostI am sure Slipper clutch will be an amazing experienceLeh Ladakh Aug 2015

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I am looking to upgrade from my R15 v2.0.
The 2 contenders are RC 390 and R3.
I have heard that RC 390 has engine heating issues and that engine refinement is not upto R15 marks (was informed of this from a person who has R15 and test rode the RC390).
So folks can you tell me what are the most common issues with RC390?
How is the build quality when compared to R15?
Since I am so used to the R15 v2.0, which one should I go for?Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally -> 2020
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 2019 -> 2019
YZF-R3 -> 2017 -> SOLD 2019
CBR 250R -> 2017 -> SOLD 2017
Ninja 650 -> 2016 -> SOLD 2018
Blue Activa 125 -> 2016
Black YZF-R15 v2 -> 2011 -> SOLD 2016

I own both an R15 and an RC390 and yes. R15 is much more refined but honestly it doesn't hurt me on RC. You'll have to ride it to know whether u mind it or not. There are no heating issues as per say. It's a big engine and it heats up a lot which is normal for it. The engine overheat has not shown once in my 8 months of ownership. Even in stop and go traffic. In RC the hot air is not blown directly to your legs so u won't ne charred. However u do feel some heat. Everyone get used to that I am sure. As of quality, theoretically speaking Japanese are better but as compared to R15 it almost as good as R15. Never had any troubles with quality. And I took her to Ladakh. My bike didn't even had any rattling b issues. The best thing would be to take a test ride of one to know."Verso l'infinito e oltre"

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hello guys,
I have clicked around 8600kms on my RC 390 and it's time for the rear tyre change. I checked a few dealers in Delhi and the best quote I got so far is
Michelin 5550
Metzeler 9000
Is there any chance of getting better price?
