That was a wise decision..,Originally posted by Jayantnarangkar View Postused a fibre washer for drain bolt and problem solved...
Jugaad done by SVC

In pneumatics too fiber washer is preferred over rubber o-ring to arrest the leak.,

Help needed about fuel indicator
Dear All,
I need an urgent help from your exp. I got my new GS150R last week. When I took delivery, the dealer gave me the bike with 0.5 LTR of petrol. I immediately filled it with 10 LTR. The fuel indicator was showing 3 blocks. Now I have done 370KMS on ODO and still running on main (the fuel knob). But today evening while coming back from office I can see the last block blinking
, inspite of me still riding in main. As per the manual, the last block is supposed to blink only when the fuel hits below 1.5L.
and reserve capacity is ~3L. Why this conflict?
What should I do now? Refill next day or take the bike to SVC? Please help me

Our Gs have faulty reserve but the thing you mentioned here is totally strange. There is also chances that you or anyone who may have put it in reserve position without your knowledge.Check it tomorrow if you have the same problem with on position get it checked from SVC.Originally posted by getvmurali View PostDear All,

Can't be. Cause, the moment I saw the blink, I double checked the fuel knob. It is still in ON positionOriginally posted by Nagamani View PostOur Gs have faulty reserve but the thing you mentioned here is totally strange. There is also chances that you or anyone who may have put it in reserve position without your knowledge.Check it tomorrow if you have the same problem with on position get it checked from SVC.

Might be the knob if fixed upright down.....go to svc and check again.....as you have already done 370kms this accounts mileage of 40kmpl something.....go to svc and tell the mechanic to check whether the knob is fitted properly...Originally posted by getvmurali View PostDear All,

It seems that you are nearing the reserve level of fuel. Depending the mileage, you can go another 50 or so kms before reaching reserve. If the petrol pumps are nearby, continue riding till you see the flickering in the fuel gauge.

Both the price and waiting period are not too much for a bike like GS. It is the most underestimated or ignored bike in the market, mainly due to absence of advertisement and dealership.Originally posted by rakeshchn View PostThat is not bad at all for a premium 150CC, I mean the waiting period.

I don't quite get it - Blinking of the last block and flickering due to lack of fuel is differentOriginally posted by punarvasu View PostBlinking of the last block and flickering due to lack of fuel is different.

You're welcome broOriginally posted by rakeshchn View PostThank you! That is not bad at all for a premium 150CC, I mean the waiting period.
., Yes price is not bad at all (My bro bought it for 67,800 during Nov 2009)..
Whenever I see my bike I always felt that I'd made a right decision.. It's worth every paisa I'd invested and it's a better companion for my work..
Always choose a bike for your needs..
