  • Hello Guys!

I have been evaluating this bike for purchase in next month.
Have a few queries and hope somebody here would help me on that....
    1. How comfortable this bike is for saree-wearing-lady as a pillion?
    2. Has anyone purchased this in Panvel (Navi Mumbai).. how good is service center?
    3. How good are the tyres (I have a bumpy patch of one KM in my daily ride)
    4. What is d mileage I should expect for "a gentleman-ride/no speeding/no stunts/city 10 KM +highway 15KM daily"

    Thanks in advance

After driving for 5 KM, the bike stopped. I placed the knob in reserve position drove it for some distance and again turned it back to main (while driving). Even after that, the bike didn't stop. I hope the problem is with the knob. Fuel gets discharged even if the knob is kept in reserve and tank has less than the reserve capacity and this phenomenon is not consistent. Now Iam going to have a tough time explaining the same with the SVC

      1. It is as comfortable as any other bike.
      3. I too am going through more severe village roads in some of my rides.

earlier once i had this false reserve issue as per PSRs advice i added 5 ml 2T oil to petrol

        that fixed my problem.

i don't think it will happen in a brand New bike but you can give a try it won't harm

          Oh..I can try this.

On the other side, I am not convinced of the whole thought of "False Reserve". The knob is supposed to be a simple mechanical tap. Nothing complex is build into it. So how can this "False Reserve" thing can happen

I cannot recall any such advice from PSRji to get rid of this problem. He has advised to add a specific brand 2T oil in petrol in a certain ratio for some other reasons but surely not for this.
Someone started to call this phenomenon a "false reserve" and we are still using the same phrase.
If you suspect leak through the knob, close it and remove the fuel hose from the carburetor and check whether fuel is coming out through it.

its long back i didn't remember the thread where it is gs or engine oil thread that resolved the following issues

vehicle stops as if it hits the reserve but after changing the knob to reserve and run for few minutes then turn back to main it goes for another 13 to 20 kms

instead of calling as false reserve, i don't have any objection even if you call it as false main or reserve stage 1

I am experiencing the same for my GS as well. Shocked to see the KMs done for a litre of petrol when the bike stopped. Turned the knob to Reserve, run for a few kms and turned back to main and the bike ran for another 22 kms. . After 4 free services and 8500 kms i am getting 55-58 for a litre. Seems going good.

This maybe out of topic.. but this should make Suzuki Owners proud.

Rebored my TVS XL which is almost 70,000 kms old. Opened all engine parts and found SUZUKI stamped in all internal parts. Even now, the speedo touches 50

Get it from Simran wheels panvel, they are selling good nos suzuki 2 wheelers ,70 % 'Access' though ,2 months ago they surpassed Honda ( sharyu honda , panvel) with GS bookings in liue of uni / dazzy , i was one of them who canceled dazzler booked ,and took away indestructible Gs same day (proud of the decission), SC is frendly & cooperative , Talk to Atul regarding sales, other office staff seems lazy & confused & suspecious & affraid.
Milege is class leading 53-58 KPL is order of day in any condition , i am geting 54 KPL in eco mode under 63 kph, 6 th cog max driving.
Safety & comfortable , get a white one if available , it looks sleeker with those graphics .

                              • Disk Brake Lock

                                Hi Friends,
Its been 2 weeks since I got my GS150r. Waiting for the 1st service so that I can unleash the beast. The run in period is testing my patience. I was worried about the safety of my bike. So goggled around a bit and checked Xena disk brake locks, but they are pretty expensive. So finally have ordered Kabrus Alarm Disk Brake Lock from ebay. Checked the same in amazon and the reviews were decent.
Now waiting for it to be delivered.
Anybody got any experience with these locks?
