Hi All,
My GS is due 8th free service. ODO reads: 16300km
Apart from regular Oil and Oil filter changes, the only thing i have changed so far is spark plug @10 k kms.
But now some times I feel that the bike is little late in building revs.(in any mode)
So does this mean its time to change the Air filter. Also do i need to change Fork oil this time.
Just on a general note, our service manual only lists the schedule for the first 7 services!! I just found out that now

A Problem
My friend's 2010 GS (ODO-18k) is in trouble.
He found his bike lying on the ground early this week. A little bit of scratch on disk-break lever and right mirror. I guess the handlebar took most of the impact while falling. Rest of the bike is saved.
The problem is now the handlebar is minutely slightly inside on the right. We tried tuning it by loosening the 4 bolts near ignition, but it did not resolve the prob. Checked the fork and two vertical bars adjacent to the headlight fairing and those seems fine.
The disorientation of the handle is not visible, but is irritatingly noticeable during the rides. Anyone knows any guy in Pune who presses the handlebar or undertake such kind of assignments? I think
svc could help, but just posting here for a quick help in case.Last edited by Beco; 08-04-2012, 02:57 PM.

Better to go for new one , fixing of bent handle bar can be done by any mechanic , you can try any designs from local 2 wheeler market which may have better alignment than original one and should cost less .Originally posted by Beco View PostMy friend's 2010 GS (ODO-18k) is in trouble.

Hey guys , yesterday visited newly opened showroom in navimumbai , maharashtra ,Riya suzuki, just for some quiry i asked for GS specs, guys there just delivered a speech which made me almost to dozz,
1)max speed ..180KMH
, head mechanic over there who cannot talk claimed 140
2)eco mode ..60+ , powermode under 50 .. thats acceptable.
3) resale value .. best
, no explanation .. how.
4)no 2 best seller after unicorn
, i thought bajaj / yamahas selling better than any 150cc's in mumbai.
5)parts avialablity everywhere
, this was too much.
I told them i already own one , its best bike in catagory and they should communicate properly to new customers who come to suzuki as last resort and that after attempting all popular models , another poor vendor , who are satisfied with thier access sales

And there is a PM for you.
Buy a new handle bar as Vikshe said instead of trying to straighten the bent. It costs just below Rs. 200/-.Originally posted by Beco View PostThe problem is now the handlebar is minutely slightly inside on the right.

2. Actually, these modes make no difference. It is for inexperienced riders.

At my SC a new person is appointed for supervisor post. I spoke to him during my last visit for chain adjustment and had a little chat regarding the Hayate & GW250. I inquired him about any news regarding its launch or any updates they recieved regarding the same (yes it is quite illogical to ask a person at the service bay regarding a new product ), but his reply was it's already launched in northen regions of india and southern part is about to get the bike., I was little astonished the way he is.,..Originally posted by Vikshe View PostHey guys , yesterday visited newly opened showroom in navimumbai , maharashtra ,Riya suzuki, just for some quiry i asked for GS specs, guys there just delivered a speech which made me almost to dozz,

He is just a teenager who must have graduated recently, he came into a new possesion but he is unaware/not interested to know things in his field, atleast it is going to pay him...
Do you think it's something related with the SC or Suzuki or Bike Manufacturers or any companies., I think it's our education system to be blamed at...

Need a suggestion from the GS150 Owners
I'm 5'5 with 65Kg's. I'm planning to buy this bike GS 150R after going through all the reviews. Will this be suitable for me??
I've previously ridden my uncle's Splendor. This will be my first bike, so please drop in your suggestions and help me out.
Thanks,
Arun

I would ask you to take a complete test ride and check yourself comfortable with its riding posture and height.. The riding posture is easily adjustable, whereas GS is having a taller stance(due to its wider seats), so check your comfort level for balancing/reach..
Best wishes.

Magesh
