where is the world heading. definitely a joke right??
It's not a joke bro, a similar kind of post was made earlier in our thread. But we should not make fun of the situation in Pakistan. Just imagine what guys in US or Europe think seeing our bikes and their prices.

Ours is a little better than most developing countries thats all. No offence, I just made my point so that no one get a wrong idea .

        • Guys i gave my bike for servicing finally.
That person didn't take the 10th and 11th service coupon, he just took the 12th service one and left the others.
So much for warranty i guess.

Coming to the main point, apparently the disc costs 1250 bucks
The svc people said they'll check it, and if replacement is needed they'll call and confirm once.

Is it definitely not possible to just correct the bend with the hammer or anything ?? got the idea from my friends after coming back from the svc, but i forgot to ask the supervisor over there if it can be done or not.

Ya u are right..."Ours is a little better than most developing countries "..but considering India-Pak started from same phase...and i guess India have moved quite ahead compared to Pak..so definitely a shame for them...and no doubt funny too..

as i can recall..some 7 years bak..i was gng thru the overdrive magazine...and there was an article abt the latest bike available at pakistan...and guess wat the bike was...A HH CD100ss..which costs arnd 55000/- there at that time ! ! !....disgusting ! ! !
Nothing feels better than to gear up and burn some rubber ! ! !

            • tragedy!!!

well my bike was giving me not much trouble..but that squeak sound was getting on my nerves. actually increased in the past two days. so i went to the SVC and showed them. the people at the SVC seemed friendly and after a couple of test drives three issues came up-

              1. swing arm was making noise. so will have to be checked.
              2. in first gear and fully pressed clutch the bike was moving forward. so some issue in clutch system. needs to be throughly checked.(this was the galloping motion i had mentioned on one of my earliest post. was told by my fellow xbhpians that is normal in disk brake bikes.
              3. gears are hard while downshift.
              4. helmet lock not working..

so leave bike today and come collect it tomo and pray its fixed.

all this on a 15 day old bike which has run 440 k.

i didnt shout or make a scene. mistakes happen. but if not rectified by tomo then "somebody gonna get a hurt real bad"...

The squeak sound from the swingarm can be solved by applying grease to swingarm.
Bike moving with clutch depressed means your clutch cable is too slack. Minor adjustment of clutch cable needed thats all.
Hard gear shifting is common in all new bikes irrespective of brand.
Helmet lock - maybe just some oiling needed.

These are all minor issues seen in all bikes irrespective of brand. Dont blow them out of proportion.

correct...they are minor...but believe me it still hurts when you have to go back to the SVC on a unscheduled visit.

and aint blowing anything out of proportion. discussing issues with the bike. other new buyers to check the same before they buy their GS.

                  spread the knowledge mate...

dude..guess he was talkin abt gettin hurt thing
hey do u blip throttle before downshifting?? If not then u will get hard or jerky gearshifts...
anyways...even I have gone to SC umpteen times, and this time i have got my bike working like a smooth machine. kudos to suzuki people for such a refined machine and after sales support. I dont know about others but my bike was personally looked into by Suzuki engineers and repaired under warranty.
Today I met Suzuki engineer who looked into my bike when it was showing all kind of troubles...he told me that in my bike block piston, entire gearbox and many other parts have been replaced. There was problem with gears due to broken shaft.
Now my bike has good pickup, efficiency 50+..even riding in afternoon heat everyday for 20km.
Gearshifts have become smoother than last week..and i hope going by this behavior they will get smoother after 2nd service and oil change.

blip as in close throttle abruptly and then open throttle?? if thats what u meant then no...i dont do that.. actually gears are very good. its just in low RPM range that they give difficulty(not problem).especially in traffic jams. but getting it on neutral after stopping is next to impossible. now dont tell me to rock the bike forward and back in a jam....surprisingly if i hit the kill switch and then go to N the bike shifts without problem. only when the bike is on..so weird,...

                          • Anyway the heating issue with my bike is gone after loosening up the brake... I think they had made very slightly tight at the service center during first service.

                            • I got transter to Hyd location , so i thought of riding my GS up to hyd from mumbai instead of sending by rail/bus.
Initially my parents refused this idea but finally i managed and got the permission.
                              1. Friday evening Mumbai to Pune ride and stayed at pune for the day (155 KMs in 3 hours) in friend room.
                              2. Started at 6.30 morning from pune, reached Hyd by the 5:30 PM with consistently riding at 70-75KMPH. (581 KMs in 12 hours)
No issues in this journey. absolutely smooth riding and no back/wrist pains. Now my GS crosses 5000 on odo in 5 months.

                              Great ride with Great bike...
