Most of the dealers give all the accessories free. The standard accessories mentioned by animeher come as stock. The tank cover, seat cover, handle grip, buzzer and bike cover are the accessories.

The service centre guy asked whether I want accessories, thinking it will add to the price of Bike I said no, he finalized everything and then only did he say that as an offer they are giving all accessories free. So ask beforehand if they are free.

    Anup,

        • Its good to hear that from you. Since you are giving very apt and precise replies to queries here I can be at rest. Keep up your good work bro. Sometimes seeing your replies, I doubt if you are a service engineer

I haven't seen my bike for 10 days. Badly missing my bike.

Even i am planning to go to Mahabaleshwar in near future. Can you elaborate the route a bit more. Also can you provide more details of the trip, like travel time, road condition, etc..
I alone started from Airoli on saturday and it took 2h45Min for me to reach pune (Deccan) with short breaks after panvel and lonavala. I stayed in pune@ friends room.

The road conditions are excellent from mumbai-Pune, you will find so many other bikers in the same path even I seen some people doing trip using Activa .

my friend and me started for mahabhaleshwar on sunday morning and reached m'baleshwar in 2.5 hours (its 125 KM) journey. NH4 is in super condition and from NH4 junction to Mahabhaleshwar is having nice but not great roads like NH4.

I really enjoyed the ghats in NH4 especially one on the way to mahabhaleshwar from pune(Which is a one way ghat). We reached M'bhaleshwar at 11AM and roam all the points (including ganesh mandir at Wai). We again started at 4:30PM and reached bangalore at 7:15PM.

I returned back to mumbai on monday morning. You can consistently maintain speed of 80KMPH throughout the stretch (Mumbai-pune, pune-mahabhaleshwar).

Actually i filled my tank last month with 16L and it given me the 891 KMs on odo(including 470 KM's of trip)@55KMPL. I think it is very good mileage figure bcz i have maintained speed constantly between 70-90 and reached 100+ in straight and plain roads.

If you are planning for trip in jan/feb then please carry gloves also which requires while driving in the mornings. All the best.

                .
This forum helped me a lot to make my decision for GS150R, which I bought 14 months earlier. From day 1 to till date its running smooth and average is 50 on mixed driving style. I m a silent reader here, so i have few post.
15K on ODO, changed sparkplug to NGK iridium. Planning for change pilot light to LED.
I have a query and need some help.
                1. Can we replace GS pilot light bulb with Yamaha R15 LED ? which we get as accessories by YAMAHA.
                2. As we all know that Headlight is runing on AC, what if I use fullwave rectifier and connect the Headlight to DC out ? I want to do that because of light flicker on idleing.

Yeah a little bit. I didnt say I'm leaving the forum after all biking is my passion. I have decided no to pass any information which I'm doubtful. Many of my info is from the previous comments and internet. So unless I'm very sure, remaining silent is the best way.

The company do have a probationary period of 3 months. I'm being exposed to programming concepts which are not sticking. Coming days are going to be tough days........

Anyway guys , I think replacing the spark plug cable will not be such a bad idea.
I was getting mileage of 45-52 KMPL. After installing the split fire cable (not sure whether it is original or not) I have been riding carefully.
Unlike my usual pattern of shifting gears at 6K RPM, I was shifting at the range of 4-4.5K for the past few days.
I filled petrol for Rs. 200 (Approx. 3.4 Liters) day before yesterday.
Today bike came to reserve at 204 KM trip meter reading. That will get down to mileage of around 60 KMPL using R-R method.
Was really surprised at this twist..
May be it is due to my riding pattern or due to the spark plug cable or both..
Will check again and post results..
Another fact is that I was initially getting Mileage in the range of 55-60 during the run-in time. That time I was limiting top speed to 60 KMPH.
Later the riding got harsh and mileage dropped to 45-50.
But I had tried for many times to increase mileage by riding carefully, but the figure had not increased above 52.
So I am having the thought that the split fire cable has some role to play in this..
