I know I know...........250cc and below bikes are for those who do not want to use bicycle or car or public transport for daily commutes.

What only matters in India is the price of these high end bikes and road safety.
I wonder how many bicyclist, cattle herd and trucks I would run into if I ride a S1000RR here like the way I did in Europe !!!

A beautiful Honda Valkyrie Rune 1800cc bike at 3.6L is available. It is one of the most powerful tourer, but in city it will be like driving the Innova on 2 wheels.Very tempting to buy.but totally impractical here.

Also, is there duplicate problems in gulf? My gear shifts have gotten hard and notchy since 1st service oil change and engine also behaves erratically sometimes.
Gulf has only mineral oil only, "Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W-40" this one suits GS

Gulf availability is very less in Bangalore i don't think duplicate packs are there for gulf
i got the following contact details from motul oil thread

        • Gulf Pride 4T 20W-40 was the one I filled last time......guess it wasnt JASO MA2. Anyway, got motul 3000 4t plus for 170 at palace gnds auto expo.....could have got it for lesser, but didnt haggle too much.....they had a manufacturer stall......got the contact, card and stall number of the representative just in case things dont go well. The card they gave me says 'motorcycle components'.....supposed to be behind SBI on JC road....I suppose they also deal in motul. Cherry agencies came up during the conversation and the guy says cherry sells very old stock, dont know if its true.....the one I got from this guy is 9 months old.....I didnt care as long as it wasnt more than 1.5 - 2 years old.

Thanks for the numbers, Ill note them down.

there was an osram stall as well. They werent selling, just demo.....said night breaker h4 retailed for 900. Is it cheaper anywhere else?

          A beautiful Honda Valkyrie Rune
@psr: Thats one ugly fat bug of a bike. Its impractical on both looks and handling. But thats just my opinion.

Nothing new yaar, he did already translated what ever he typed in regional slang, despite of his situation he is telling it like in Tamil movie comedy dialogs style.

when we talk about issues with core components of GS150R, we should keep Abdul Khadar case in mind as its exceptional.

and congrats for your century post (100)

Bangalore guys in feb end or march last year we had the service camp at airport road suzuki, i want that to happen again this year.

Just think, the amount of attention you would get riding one...........and I tell you it is not something meant for daily commute, the sheer beauty of this thing speaks a lot..............you can ride this into a marriage or conference ceremony of really high status in a crowd of Mercedes and Audi and can park it without any regrets. Those luxury car owner's eyes would pop out at the sheer presence of this ..............too bad Honda is not updating this product anymore

I have seen a number of these bikes in Mumbai, bought and maintained by some really sophisticated owners.

                  truly said........
its a beauty.....the attention it grabs is mindblowing.....put this and those mercs/audis/bmws people will surely gape at the HONDA......
one fine day i got a chance to sit and guess what i was not even able to make the bike stand.......that one is nearly 5-6 times me in terms of weight.....

                  @all
i have thought of putting a fairing to the GSR so what would be the ideal colour?i own the candy greenish blue one!
Black/white/grey or can i get it painted from the SVC for the same blue colour.....

also what kind of fairing should i opt for
should i go for the semi naked one as ours is an air cooled engine or go for the one like the BKING!

But the sad thing is,Valkyrie Rune is a dead product, the most attractive part of that bike was that it was a flat six engine being just a motorcycle..............Honda has replaced it with a conventional Vtwin model, the VTX1800..picture below:

Go for a naked and muscular looking front for the GS150R.......and find some ways of increasing the power, the easiest being, implanting the RTR180 carb, increasing the exhaust port on the inside and a power filter for the kicks at high rpms.Complete the set up with irridium CR7HIX spark plug(Suzuki uses irridium unit on all sportsbikes and high end muscle bikes).
Then you are having your own Dazzler version of Unicorn or a sporty version of our GS150R

The FLAT one was really awesome....
and by making it more muscular do you mean like putting the side cowls or something like that from 2011suzuki GSR750.....
and will do the upgrades sometime later as will have to PATAO my paa first....

                        • Hi guys,

My GS completed 4.4k km, Need to change engine oil and filter. Is it good to use Motul 30004t 15w 50(manf date Aug 2009, Rs:220) for GS engine. Shop guy told this is thicker than Motul 3000plus 20w 40.

                            Siva,

Dont change the grade as our gs is behaves much sensitive to engine oil more over 4500 kms is not the right to experiment with oil.

Try a good brand oil with jaso ma2 standard.

how is light output in Silverstar? kindly put the photos ok..
i too had searched alot for silverstar, without getting it, and finally got nightbreaker, which costs almost 5 times the silverstar.
Hey Thanks Venu. I have not yet got a chance to test the Light Output. Will do it soon and post pics if possible. I got Silverstar fairly easily without searching. Thanks to Animeher who had purchased it from a Retailer in Pune. Went to the same Shop and got it.

Runnig those LEDs in AC will make them get spoilt very soon. Happened to Madhu too.
Converting to DC is easy, just take a wire from rear number plate light till the pilot lamps.

LEDs won't survive for more than a week with A/C power where you can buy a 2.5 mtrs (max) wire to connect pilot lamps to DC by connecting it from the tail lamp.
Thanks for your Input Guys. Do i need to connect it to the Tail Lamp or will connecting it to the Speedometeer Wire also work, as suggested by Animeher ?

I read through some of the Old Discussions regarding LED Lights in this Forum and found that some have experienced that LED's will work fine even on the stock AC Setup. I think it was Akfara.
The 2 LED's i purchased are worth 100 /- and i think it should be of decent quality.
Should i still not take a risk and connect it to the Battery ?

Another thing, my Pass Light does not seem to work now. Is this Normal with a Higher Capacity Bulb ? I did not check if it was working before.
