I am truly proud to hear that we have developed a lot and have moved quite ahead in the last 63 years of independence where more than 85% of Indian rural households are lacking basic amenities, even drinking water.

The main product and export of Pakistan is terrorism. They are doing it well, in the hope of leading the mankind to hundreds of years back, to the tribal life where humans are butchered as animals. No need to be anxious about them unless they come to know what the value of human life is and how it is more precious than the offered eternal life in paradise.

Definitely not with a hammer. If there is a slight scrapping sound only, ignore the bend. If not, try to straighten it with an adjustable wrench, without removing it from the bike. A perfect straightening cannot be expected as the disc is cast iron.

No issues in this journey. absolutely smooth riding and no back/wrist pains. Now my GS crosses 5000 on odo in 5 months.

      Great ride with Great bike..
      Hearty congratulations.

To be honest, the best service centre is the place you live and the best mechanic is yourself. In the 4th service, the engine oil, oil filter and spark plug is needed to be replaced. You can do all these by yourself. Try. You can do it easily.

The svc decided not to change the disc after all.
The supervisor said they adjusted the pads a bit and it should be ok, no need to replace for a slight bend for now.

Have you ever been to West Bengal,Vishnu ?????
Well it may not be so difficult to live here after all, being a common man.
The horrendous picture that is portrayed by popular media and opportunists may not be the real fact in all likeness.
It is somehow sick to think that news sells more when some kind of war or disaster going on.Anyways, I do not want to flood GS150R forum with filth, so I wish not that this discussion be carried out here.

And about the GS150 bike in Pakistan, it can be assured that the quality and levels of refinement of that bike is similar to our GS150R.Now what can be done if the biker populace of a certain nation prefers the traditional styling and ruggedness to delicacy ????

As far as I know in Pakistan, bikes with truckloads of chrome heavy treatment is well accepted.Ruggedness(remember Suzuki Heat 125) is the only thing that matters there and not looks.I think they build bikes there so that it can stand even assault of bullets and bombs and all kinds of rough situations thrown its way.Metal hard looks are preferred to plastic appeal.

as i can recall..some 7 years bak..i was gng thru the overdrive magazine...and there was an article abt the latest bike available at pakistan...and guess wat the bike was...A HH CD100ss..which costs arnd 55000/- there at that time ! ! !....disgusting ! ! !
Havent you been through the superbikes in pakistan thread somewhere here on xbhp.....
dude what we think is not the case.....i am trying to be diplomatic here.....there are many more superbikes in pakistan than what are present in India(people showing off out there in Pak and after seeing them, made me say this).....and even the roads out there are meant for driving those mighty beasts...unlike India.....

still some people ward this off as bike with many problems hence it is most discussed in 150 cc's after R15..

              • Harsh sound ..problem

Actually my gs started to breath hardly( similar to jerking of reserve) between 30 to 60 kmph and above,so i reported it to svc ,a nd they said that the culprit is dirt in curburator, and they cleaned with petrol and said that the prob is resolved. But after that the bike exhaust sound became louder than earlier and the engine sound is harsher and quite similar to the boulder sound of split personality and the hard breath prob is not solved either fully only 60% is solved..........

Guyz, let me know what might be the prob or what needs to be checked....

@vishnu.....what are the tools that need to be bought for our gs as tool kit(apart from what have been provided in the tool kit, if they are good enough)

Check Air-filter element. clean if dirty.
there might be this tank vacuum thing, check all those pipes below tank and a small hole in brim of tank. ensure they are free and working.
If this also is not the cause....if they have cleaned carb and there is still jerking, then do this simple check.
                    1. Take a clean pan/vessel.
                    2. switch off fuel cock.
                    3. put open end of drain pipe on lowermost part of carb. in pan.
                    4. Open drain screw in lowermost part of carb.
                    5. check contents in pan for traces of dirt or water.
                    6. just to confirm open the fuel cock a little in On/ res position and let some fuel flow in pan.
                    7. close drain screw until it feels tight.
                    7. If there are no traces of water/ dirt then check spark plug adapter cap.
Something else might be there...but then that goes in electricals.
correct me if I am wrong in diagnosis.

Regarding jerking, maybe choke cable is too tight. Also, could be dust in carburator and carburator may need cleaning again. Try filling fuel from a different bunk next time. Also, these new 4-stroke bikes (unicorn, gs150, apache, fz, sz-r all included) have so many tubes going into the carburator, it could be dust any of those.

Engine louder, check idle rpm. Maybe showroom guys set it too high.

                      • Guys..new GS is coming in 2-3 months...engine change is unlikely...but it might get different shape or graphics. It's still under testing and company has not yet decided when to launch the bike. A Suzuki personnel confirmed news about current production stoppage.
Seems like Suzuki is gonna hit the competition hard this time and with Honda still struggling to cope up with demand, Suzuki has a good chance to capture the market.
From whatever I have observed at suzuki dealerships..GS and Access sales are going north..and sales people are trying to sell "OYE!!! Slingshotttt"

I too head from Bangalore showroom that new Gs is coming, but they said it wont have any major changes except maybe new colors or graphics. The showroom guys also said that they will know of the changes (if any) only when the receive the bike. I am guessing new pearl white color (as in apache and access) and copper color (as in slingshot).

If what you are saying is true, expect more plastic parts for a little weight reduction. Also, optional rear disc could come at extra cost.

                            • I expect a slightly tuned up engine on the new GS so that the power rating now matches 15bhp in addition to new tank and grafix.

I would go for an engine exchange if that happens, judging on exactly how the performance has been increased.

This time, they have fitted chrome bordered number plates..
In the Front alloy there is a small difference compared to the previous versions.
Graphics have be changed this time...
Quality of the material used is definitely better than my 2009 model...
                                Thats all i could notice
