                  Dear Mach50,

Most of the participants of this discussion are professionals or students of professional courses who left studying languages in plus two, whose reading narrowed to the text or reference books because they are not getting enough time to read or they are not interested in reading. So, please do not expect Shakespearian English from them.

The only language I know is my colloquial/ conversational language which is not Hindi, English or Bengali. But I have travelled through almost all of the Indian states including West Bengal without much difficulty. Nowadays too I have this language problem whenever I go outside my state because my English grammar and vocabulary is pathetically poor.

A close relative of mine is studying in a well reputed professional college outside my state, where students from all over India are studying but while in the campus, I seldom here English conversations but mostly Hindi. As you know, even though an international language, English is not a commonly used language anywhere - including WB - in India but we are using it because we are lacking a common language even though all of us are citizens of the same country; India.

Even the beautiful English of Javaharlal Nehru was not accepted by the British as classical. The better language – according to them – was that of Sri. V K Krishna Menon, about whom you may not have heard. And please remember that an illiterate woman has ruled your neighbouring state for about 8 years because she was elected by the electors of that state.

Lastly, let me point out that in fact there is no “infact” in English, but it is “in fact” and I know the mistake was that you forgot to put a space after ‘in’. (Reference: 1. Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary. 2. Common errors in English usage). And is the usage ‘stick all shorts of things’ correct?

Let us continue our discussion with our poor, erroneous English. Please do not give over emphasis to the common mistakes.

                  It is time to sleep.

By the way, how did you fix that tank pad on the tank?

I am a Satan worshiper who know black magic and most of the information I get are from Him. This one too is of that kind. So try it. It costs Rs. 40/- only.

If it fails, then fix the visor using double sided, thick adhesive tapes under it as a bush and then tighten the bolts. Remember that these visor nuts are not reusable. The tape as a bush may not be needed if you tighten the bolts properly.

                    • sound Vs temperature

                      Hi

This might sounds silly but that's what I found and learnt

Yesterday parked my GS on direct sunlight almost 8+ hours when I drive it the engine sound is louder and bit harsh,

When I start and drive the bike on today morning the engine sound was normal and fine.

Did anyone else expected the same kind of issue

Can someone explain me why it was like that.

You can buy the double sided tape from any stationary or fancy store.

Behind the making of a super hero they need a super villan

Oh ! then why is it that you have emphasized so much on the so called common mistake here ?

Karacharana Kritam Vaa, Kaayajam Karmajam Vaa, Shravana Nayanajam Vaa , Maanasam Vaa Aparaadham, Vihitam Avihitam Vaa, Sarvame Tat Kshamasva, Jaya Jaya Karunaabdhe Shri Mahaadeva Shambho.

                            What does this mean ?

I really dont know the relevance of your long story [emphasis] over the common mistake. And please correct your spelling for 'Jawaharlal'.

I agree that a villain is needed for a Hero. But its not the case with God. If there has to be a God he is to be self sufficient. The existence of Satan is not required for God. But for satan to exist, there needs to be a God.
Its like, Darkness cannot exist without Light. Its mere the absence of light. For Darkness to exist, there has to be a Light. But Light can exist without darkness.....
I believe that God is self sufficient; and Satan is not.

                            • @vishnu: Leave it man. Mach50 made a joke.....he just meant that 'installed' sounds more sophesticated than 'stuck it on' referring to his tankpad 'modification'. Changing the perspective on a sentence can bring such grave meanings. That happens even with you.....it turns out looking more sarcastic than an honest comment.

@augustine: Bro, vishnu was just defending the common man, in this case kirtimannan, from what he saw as a statement of unjust superiority by mach50. Lets drop it.

@mach50: I know what our bike is man. I only want to ride it better or troubleshoot it better, so that I can get the maximum out of it. Good to know it can keep up with p220(F or FI ?)....(probably means Im going wrong somewhere). I remember reading that the p220 was made faster with the revert from FI to carburettor.

Id like to have joel work on my bike if only I had the cash to support it. It seems great especially considering that theres supposed to be an improvement in mileage for every upgrade....now, who wouldnt want the best of both worlds. It seems like some solid analysis and experimentation go into his works. Right now, looks like he's too busy with his moto GP responsibilities and thinking of more popular bikes like the cbr250. But I think you'd be the right guy to convince him to work on the GS. Drop down to bangalore sometime man.

Even I concur that the modes restrict top speed.....I could go beyond 110 in eco mode, havent tried power mode. Nowadays, I can barely make out the differences between the modes. I cant spot any noticeable difference between PWR and no mode now. I never use the modes either.

@all: 4th service done. Had the carb tuned again for mileage. Had the airvent and fuelpipe checked. Chain was misaligned. The high rpm jerking problem seems to be gone for now, didnt get to check extensively. Didnt change spark plug. Even the direct dealer wasnt willing to sell the iridium plugs lower than MRP....so hunting for a better deal.
BTW whats the MRP on splitfire cables? I got varying rates from 350 to 550.....couldnt make out if I was looking at original maal.
