Nice color. Can you post a pic of your bikle from right side (silencer side)?

If right side picture of any white GS is enough, here is it.

To Chennai GS owners - Service at ABT is good in my opinion too...
People at the service center are very friendly..

            • Today I had a funny incident at the service center.

After the service., I took my bike to home.,waiting at the nandanam signal I found that the side panel (smaller balck colour one) on the right hand side wasn't fitted properly..
So took the bike to service center again , I told them to fix it..
They came to do it and while fixing the side panel I noticed that there is no sign of engine oil in reservoir..
My bike was kept in side stand outside the service center, so the person came for fixing it told that it is b'cos the bike is in side stand and hence it is not showing the level..I'm convinced with his answer and didn't even tried to check it in center stand position..
After he fixed the panel, I started the bike and run some few meters and suddenly stopped the bike to check the engine level.. Oops, again there is no oil in the resevoir.,not even near the lower level..
Looks like they forgot to fill the oil. So took my bike to svc and told this problem., SVC person (Mr.Prabakar) came to my bike., he saw it & took my bike inside service center ..
He put the bike in center stand and asked me to check it.. I saw the oil level is slowly increasing and came to the middle position..
I'm clueless and asked him what was the reason it didn't showed when I checked..
With a smile he calmly explained me ., since the engine was hot at that time oil will be circulating in the engine to cool it.,
Just in a flash, SJCS (Suzuki Jet Cooling System) striked in my mind and I asked him is it b'cos of SJCS ?..
He was looking at me and said with a smile, even after knowing what is in your bike you've lot of doubts sir..
He again asked any other things left undone or any thing he could help..
He volunteerly came and said that "Drive your bike for two days., if you find any problem bring it here I'll solve it"...
Later we had a friendly chat and then I left the showroom,,

What to say, this is the 1st time I had such a great time with SVC peoples...

Well, next time you head to the SVC, ask for a mileage test. It will be interesting to find out the results

I guess thats why we are asked to check the levels before starting the ride. Maybe they had the engine running when you went to collect the bike thats why it was hot.

I topped up 18 litres of fuel this time.. If 3.5 ltrs is reserve capacity., Today reserve came at 805 kms..So it gave an avg of 55.. Since there has been lot of controversies in R2R calculation I Will do a 100ml test next time ..

LOL.. I'm a daily runner for the job.. My job requires a hell lot of commuting.. Since my work is on site basis., I've to travel a lot.. Tats the only reason behind it..
Experience? Hmm ,I would say it is great..
Thanks to the Gas and oil filled suspension, my back is in safer side now..
I thought maneuvering in city with my 55kg it would take atleast a month or above to take control of the bike..But from the very second day, my bike is in my control.. Never felt it was too heavy to handle.. Rather it helped me to gain a good balance at slow speeds in heavy chennai traffics.. Places where I felt difficult to handle in slow speeds with my passion just goes ease in my GS..

                            • Does the weight of the Rider and Pillion has any effect on fuel efficiency???

                              • Hi all, forgot to tell you that I had adjusted the handle bar leaning angle on the second day itself., it's just a DIY process.. It leans as much as it could towards the rider.. I kept increasing the angle day by day(though only five days), to get the proper position.. You've to increase it step by step and check whether it suits your style or not and then move to the next position...
As I'm traveling a minimum of 60kms a day., I've to do this to get a better control of my bike and body..
It helps controlling the bike in traffics with ease..
I used to do this in my Passion plus it helped in easy handling and continuous long trips with no pains in wrist and forearms,..
But in GS ,for the 1st three days I felt pain around my forearms area.. Now it gets used to and I dont feel anything such now..
