its better to visit the service center... this problem is different, i mean appearing in alternate periods. check it once more... (sometimes it may be illusion as you are tired in evening, so do your body, so u need extra effort for gear shift and to accelerate ) i am not joking... but this may also be one of the reason

Dont worry... SC guys will help you (pallavaram JAIN suzuki is good nice response)

    • Here's my experience of GS150R-

      Hello guys,
After lot of thinking and re-thinking I bought my GS on the evening Friday, 29th May. Came home riding the bike in 2nd and 3rd gear. The bike was temporarily registered and they had disconnected the speedo cable saying its RTO rule. Dunno really it is.. but anyways that doesn't matter, I got it reconnected on Tuesday and the bike is now registered !! I tested my bike on highway as well as in crowded, dusty and bumpy city roads. So here's my experience-

I will discuss only the main aspects of bike.

      ***Comfort-
It is superbbbb... I continuously rode for hours and never experienced any kind of back pain or such thing. Although my mom and few friends said the pillion seat is bit highted compared to other bikes. But when u sit on it, its again very comfortable. Im quickly getting used to the heavy weight. Right now its bit difficult to ride in crowded, narrow city roads but I will get adjusted to it. Has anyone adjusted suspenison to Level 1 ?? Because by default its at Level 3. Level 1 is the softiest right ?

      ***Gears & Engine-
Now this is the heart of any bike. Im feeling that 4k rpm resonance. It was irritating when I rode to home on first day. But as I rode bike much and more, it seems to be reducing. I do feel it now but its no way irritating. May be im used to it. One thing Im conceerned about is the engine sound and very little roughness. Im thinking its little more than Unicorn and Cbzx (when they are new). I didn't get chance to test these bikes the same way I ride my GS, but looking new ones on road made me think that. Can someone highlight on this ? I read in manual that first 1600 kms are most imortant of ur bike. During this process the engine parts get polished and get "mated" with each other, if sincerely followed the break-in instructions. So, I hope after 1st service this issue will go away... I went to Pune-Bangalore highway bypass and tested on slope. Guys........... I really felt I was flying in heaven.... thats why is the signature.... I was in 6th gear at around 75 kmph that too at 4500 rpm ! I was continuously cruising for abt 7-8 km and what a smoothness man !!! I was blown away... I had never this feeling on any other bike. So its just blew my mind... It was more than butter smooth....
One mistake I was doing that I shouldn't have ridden at constant speed. That I came to know after I got manual. I will hence forth ride at variable speeds.
And Im having trouble shfting downwards from 2nd to 1st. Sometimes it comes to neutral instead of 1st and when I down press to get on 1st gear, its gives "thuk" sound and then comes to 1st. Is it my mistake ? My lack of skill ? This happens only sometime, NOT everytime. Somebody pls help... 2-3 times bike touched 6k rpm mark. First time, that SC guy revv when I was taking delivery, but I stopped him immediately. Second & third time it was my mistake due to these f**kin bad roads and crazy ppl. The needle was on 6k mark for only a fraction of second. I hope it won't be any problem. I will be more careful in future.
Its immense pleasure to ride at low speed in 2nd or 3rd gear @ 2-3k rpm..(when u've to move slowly through crowd). Just feels like an electric scooter !!!
SO, anyways Im satisfied with the engine and Im optimistic towards the engine sound and little roughness will reduce in future. (im not sure abt the sound of other bikes, may be its normal)..... Otherwise Im in Alkemyst's chair.
I feel the heel shiter more smoother than toe shifter. But when in 0 gear, shifting by heel directly goes to 2nd gear, is it normal with all bikes ? Even a feather touch of heel shifts the gear. Again Im blown away... What a wonderful and pleasureous shifting !!!
Looking forward to the most important 1st service.

      ***Brakes-
A lot is discussed about brakes. I will just say, "my bike stops whenever I want to stop". I practising to evenly apply both brakes, that will increase their reliability.

      ***Mileage-
Ok, Im confused about the reserve capacity of this bike. Acc to manual, only 1 segment means 4 L fuel is left. And when it blinks, 1.5 L is left. Most of the times Im riding in RES only...I guess I will have to fill more fuel to ride in ON. Then I will post the mileage figure.

      My conclusion-
I am completely satisfied with the bike even though there is this little engine thing. But other owners say that whatever it is, reduces after service and ride by ride. Its not that Im worried, but could be better if it wasn't there. So Im very very HAPPY with my bike. I just love it from my heart !!! Just like u love ur mom n dad in spite of their mistakes..... So Im hoping that I will get the real taste of GS150R after some days, not initially !!

      Enjoy these photos -

Yea thats the reason u're now feeling smoothness. U had unicorn before naa ? Did u feel engine of GS noisy initially than Unicorn ?

                          In GS

technically needle doesnt have any bulb for illumination... but the needle has a LED in its hub, the needle is made up of transparent plastic which diffuses the light from this LED evenly so that it looks like its being illuminated... anyway it looks cool

this is how its there in GS150R... i am not sure about other bikes.

Is any other bike have illuminated needle?

ssivakumar has explained. In my photo it doesn't look because I didn't have the exact setup. I just clicked the photo without any tripod or extra lighting. Check Suzuki website for console pic.. It shows illuminated needle else see bike actually... Lol I ain't professional... u can sau "prosumer"

Gr8 review and fantastic pics... I just got blown away.... I just know what it exactly feels like to cruise in this bike. Infact everyone here knows....

One friend of mine told me this bike is smoother than unicorn. Its been a long time i rode a unicorn, So i dont really remember.

My dad owns a Suzuki zues which most people look down. That bike performs excellent in highway and my dad (who is not after performance, power, and looks) is just more that satisfied. I dont know if this motivated me to get this bike; but I'm really impressed by GS
