Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I picked my TNT 300 earlier 19th of this month. One of the partner of DSK Benelli showroom here is good friend of mine.Originally posted by saurabhtare View Post
He told me that right now company would mainly be focusing on bringing Imperiale 400 in market, which would be priced around 1.8-2 Lacs and hence they are would be expecting more sales that the previous models..
And after that they have leoncini lined up immediately..
After that they might focus on the new 302s assembly. They might start rolling those out in european or far east market where lot of Benellis have been sold already and where are around since quite a few years now.-
The best part of journeys are the stops you take in between.

How's the handling with the new bar ?Originally posted by Racing_axel View PostHandlebar change for my Benelli tnt 300
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Guys.. I have two quick queries here.
1. IXIL Exhaust
As mentioned in my first post, i had included IXIL 55 slip-on in the deal which i bought with DSK Benelli showroom here. I have couple of concerns regarding that. I am absolutely loving the stock exhaust note. And i haven't rode beyond 7k RPM yet.. and i know i'll be enjoying the even more when break-in period is over.
Also.. i am note a fan of loud exhausts, in past i already had experience with free flow exhausts and jets modification for performance.. But i have no clue about performance change after an IXIL installation on T3. I understand about the more air intake and open exhaust.. but wanted to know, how much in practicality does it makes an improvement in the performance, apart from change in exhaust note.. is it worth
Also, does an IXIL installed T3 sound loud even when DB Killer is kept ? Or its smoother and bassier like it is now.
2. Ceramic Coating / PPF
I am visiting a workshop tomorrow here and gonna inquire about both, Ceramic Coating and Paint protection film... which does what exactly and which is better for this bike. If anyone has personal experience with these medium.. your suggestions will be helpful.-

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Though T3 came with upright handlebar i had some pressure on my palm when ever they was hard breaking or a pillion sitting behind this was making the ride very uncomfortable. So i have changed the bar to 600i bar, very comfortable and easy to handle, infact i would say very very comfortable long distance ride are very easy.

1. About IXIL its about personal preference. I like stock exhaust. Although there will be reduction in weight, But not good if you are into long distance touring because loud exhaust will be annoying after some point of time.Originally posted by Bikerwithacamera View PostHow's the handling with the new bar ? 2. I am planning to go for PPF it protects paint much better that Ceramic coating. It will protect scratches from tank bag better than ceramic coating.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Pirelli Angel ST is available only via the service centers and are way more expensive than equivalent tyre models.Originally posted by Lonewolf_666 View PostHello Everyone
I need to replace my tires. I am looking for the same stock tire which came with my Bike - Pirelli Angel St. Where in Bangalore can i find these tires, and a good reputable place which can fix this tire for me?
Regards,
Lonewolf
Alternatives :
- Pirelli Angel GT - A better tyre than Angel ST, Dual Compound and touring friendly. Good grip in wet and dry. long lasting
- Pirelli Rozzo II - More track oriented, excellent grip. But will not last long.
- Metzeler Roadtech 01 - touring tyres dual compound, excellent wet grip. long lasting.
- Metzeler M7RR Sportec - dual compound, rounder profile, will make the bike more flickable. sticky rubber so won't last a lot.
- Michelin PR4/5 - Ranked the best sports touring tyre in the world.
The below graph is an old one so won't list most of the new tires but will give you a fair idea. If someone comes across a new graph do share.

I am thankful that there is a benelli tnt 300 thread here. I hope you guys can help me out with this one.
So, I've owned this bike for a year now, and have clocked 15000km by now. The bike was doing great till I gave it for 4th servicing.
The issue is that, when I blip the throttle hard to overtake (or say, like when you rev it to high rpm while doing a wheelie), the bike
loses throttle response completely. I'll have to stop the bike, switch it off (wait for about 30 secs) and on again to start the bike.
This is really annoying. I've been to benelli workshop with this problem for the third time now, but they can't seem to know what
the issue is with. The diagnosis device does not seem to provide any specific problem as well.
So far, they've tinkered with engine head gasket, oil pressure sensor, ignition/starter switch (above gearbox). The electrical unit and
wiring all seems to be fine. Now they've told me that if this problem where to persist, they would change spark plug. I keep telling
them it was all good before fourth servicing. I'm loosing confidence on them as mechanics. These servicing does not come cheap either.
The fourth servicing cost me NPR 10500 (INR 6500).
Anyone of you guys have had this kind of problem? Please someone provide me an insight on this problem.
Thanks.
I experienced exactly the same symptom. Bike engine shuts off on sudden upshift acceleration and during over taking. Though the instrument cluster is on and other switches are working fine, bike will not start until the key is turned off and on again. It was annoying and thought of troubleshooting.
Removed the seat and fuel tank for inspection and found the cause for the issue. It is the position of anti roll over switch also knows as Angle sensor AKA tip off switch. Its function is to shut off the fuel pump in case the bike fall down for various reasons. Pump will resume its function only when the key is turned OFF and then ON
The rubber holder cracked and the sensor got tilted horizontally. If it is tilted sidewards the bike will never start. Fixed it with glue and tape and positioned the sensor. RESOLVED.
There is "UP ARROW" symbol on the rubber holder denoting the position of sensor.
Below video shows how the roll over or angle sensor works.
