Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello Guys
As i mentioned few days back, my T3 is expected to arrive by end of this month.
Henceforth, i was looking for few accessories which i would prefer fitting on once bike arrives. Having seen many options available on the previous posts, i would like few suggestions
1. I found this windshield, which is nearer to what i was looking for
thou my preferred type would be GIVI 247A Screen and fitting kit A8702A for Benelli BN302 - Benelli BN 302 (15-17) - GIVI Luggage
but it's really difficult getting them delivered in India at better VFM, hence i am more inclined towards the former option available on aliexpress.
My technical query regarding this accessory was.. how much decrease in top speed can be expected after installing this ? And it is more tricky to install / uninstall it ?
2. The radiator grill.
Which would be more preferable ? the mud flap extension or the radiator grill ?
3. Installing aftermarket exhaust
I've got an ixil exhaust included at discount rates into the 'package' from benelli folks here. The prime reason i aksed for that was to increase the ground clearance which seems to be quite low with stock exhaust (i must mention that i didn't got a chance to maneuver much or try any cornering during the test ride which i took,
but i look forward to many such rides with my bike in future to the most pleasant route which we have in near region, and from most videos i've seen, i am finding the ground clearance bit tricky with stock exhaust)
Also, i couldn't find many ixil note videos with a DB killer. I dont want the extreme loud exhaust, and would rather be happy with the one which stock produces.
Is there any link where i can get to hear ixil exhaust note on T3 with DB killer ?
And is it not recommended to make exhaust change to the new machine ? Or will it be okay if i get it changed right-away ?
Sighs.. the waiting period is worst phase ever.

Everything apart from the exhaust pipes are cast iron or steel. They will rust, if you use harsh chemicals. Would suggest an antirust treatment. But be careful what you use on the discs. It shouldn't get glazed.Originally posted by iBlaziner View Post[/

Dab some Vaseline on it, except the brake disc of course. Don't put Vaseline on areas which generate heat either.Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostEverything apart from the exhaust pipes are cast iron or steel. I would have loved to help, but I'm travelling for a couple of weeks.Originally posted by iBlaziner View PostBinil can you ship the lever for me I'll pay whatever the charges are
You can try one thing ... Call Shiv Kumar from Benelli SVC in Bangalore. You can request him to ship it to you and you can do a bank transfer to the svc account.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello All, Sharing my first 2K experience with the TNT 300
Last week I did a Solo 980Kms: Bangalore -> Salem -> Coimbatore -> Palakkad -> Salem -> Coimbatore -> Bangalore
Pros:- Bike did exceptionally well on the highways, very stable even at 120 - 125 kmph, I believe the credit goes to the bike's weight and it's solid build.
- Breaks are very responsive, both the front and the rear
- The ABS does it's job. Had a close encounter with a trailer truck who doesn't value road rules. If not for the ABS, I won't be writing this post now

- The bike's true potential is seen after 100kmph. Very stable and decent pickup from 100 - 140 kmph
- The factory seats are very comfortable
- Sounds really good

Cons:- High beams are not the best in class
- Hard clutch. It can be a pain in the wrist for people who are not used to it
- Ground clearence is not ment for our Indian speed breakers

And when it comes to fuel, Just use the available ones, Don't bother "Shell Only" because shell is unavailable on TN and Kerala. And honesly I don't see any performance difference when I mixed Shell with Speed.
Here's a photo of my TNT 300
