Hi Binil,

How did you mount that tailbag? Did you get a custom rack made or is it available on the net?

Guys, what do you think about the following news?

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Pune police has seized the MV Agusta F4 RR superbike of DSK-Benelli chairman Shirish Kulkarni. The superbike was among four other vehicles seized by the EOW.

With the chairman gone, his know what will happens to rest of his ventures. I have heard that dsk Toyota and other real estate business run by Mr. kulkarni has also been stopped long time back. So one who is considering to buy a Benelli product should stay away?

vnsk - it's your money, but personally, I don't like the smell of it. Heard of the phrase 'like father, like son'?

What if Benelli decides, hey, it's gonna be expensive to open up SVC by ourselves, so let's quit India? Or it could go the other way, and they get a reliable, honest company to run the SVC for them.

DSK Benelli have like really strong presence as for now, with SVC's and dealerships in most major cities of India. With comparatively so less years under the belt, they've still managed to put up decent sales, especially with 600i.

With its strong presence in Nepal and now even in Pakistan, its very unlikely that Benelli would want to miss out on India, which is by far the biggest and most potential emerging market for the mid and high ranges bike in recent years.

IMO The ongoing situation would certainly affect sales for time being, but it's gonna sorted soon. Company may make a statement by launching long awaited models.. and if at all they are in crises then QJ brings another player for tie up.

Dealer in my city is a good friend of mine, and they aren't that bothered with these events as for now. I'd surely try to know more on this from him next time we meet.

T3's first service experience:

Kms Done : 600

Bike certainly feels more settled after first service, especially gear shifts have become smoother unlike before.
No major additions or changes done to bike during first service.

First Service Cost : INR 2650

Also got hydrophobic ceramic coating done fortnight ago. Found a decent facility here who provided me a 3 year warranty plan, where they would contact every 6 months for recoat and color repair (if required) and scratch removal.

Other fittings done earlier today :

1. Radiator Guard (order from Aliexpress)
Didn't realized the model i had ordered had a clip on fitting. Though some lining work was required to avoid the vibrations.

2. Auxiliary Lamps
I had major issue with lighting in this past one month of bike's usage, as i majorly rode during night time on highway. The stock lamp wasn't throwing enough light for my purpose. Hence i got these from a local Gear Up Store, and precise installation were done by them with connection taken from the ignition itself.

The major task for installing aux lamps was making L clamps made from local fabricator with perfect screw in holes.
We installed the light position along the front the front number plate frame joints.

It came with one year replacement warranty and is waterproof. Came from a price of INR 4100 with installation.

I had pleasure of riding the bike for first time without helmet since i bought it.. and oh boy what a pleasure it was to listen to that symphony. Now i am really skeptical about installing IXIL X60 which is on its way to SVC.

I also checked out DNA filter for TNT 300.. anybody here have experience with the same ?

Biker,

That looks good...And aux lighting is really good...Am still contemplating on the whether to buy the bike now or wait a month...I am going for the white one as I dont like black and my wife didnt like the other two options.
Did you get the pilot lamps changed ar SVC or outside? It looks cool...and will it have any impact on the warranty?

I am using the DNA - Changes the engine response all together, specially in higher revs. You can see the fitting related details in the link in my signature.

Bulbs and stuff are consumables, as long as you are within the required rating, it is ok. I am using the Osrams Pilot Lamps & Osrams Nightbreaker Unlimited in headlights of mine since the first month.

Also, i realized last night ride that one of the headlight beam has gone haywire and is pointing 90 degree straight upwards

And with temperature going here around 40 degree celcius already.. the T3's engine when idle at traffic signals is peaking up at almost between 92-94 degrees. I hope that's normal for this bike, and as soon as bike catches some motion and air.. it goes back in 80's.

Thats normal. It's just a stray beam that reflects off the cleft on the reflectors. N an interesting thing to note is the image it forms when it hits a wall. Check it out when u are in a parking area with a low roof, - feels like an easter egg :P

Peak summers in stop and go traffic it hovered around 97/99 - this is when i was in Chennai... Rarely touches 100+ The fan kicks in way before that. Also The bike has a failsafe at 112 degrees, it shows H20 written on the display and vehicle shuts off. I am yet to see that in my bike. And people who ended up seeing it had sensor issues or water pump not working. So I think you would be fine.

I don’t know if it’s going to be launched in India. I have been asking these guys about the launch of 302S, they keep saying that it’s not meant for Indian markets. I think this too will skip Indian markets as well.

They are not even responding to emails or FB messages as to what are their plans for trk500 or leoncino. I did ask them if they are closing shops in India to which they replied that they are very much in business in India but will keep us informed about how things will be. God knows what’s that suppose to mean. [emoji36]

True - They probably will come up with the Imperiale and try for a larger market share than bring another tourer...I think more than the TRK, the Leoncino again is the candidate , probably late in the year....
