Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I completely agree with you. I've had experience all through the power band and settled for a FZ16 when i got back to India. That(power) and the initial investment was what i was wary of and slightly more inclined towards the TNT300. Which is why i guess i posted here rather than thereOriginally posted by TheArcher84 View Post

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
As mentioned by TheArcher84, not only the initial investment & overall operating cost too on higher side for 600i. But 300 costs are also not on cheaper side considering you owned Fz-16.Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostI've had experience all through the power band and settled for a FZ16 when i got back to India. Also the 300 is best ridden on highways rather than within the city. It's not like you will be tired riding it in traffic but once you ride it on open highways, you do not feel like riding much in city.
So your statement might change to "I ride mostly on highways and the occasional city ride"

.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostLeaving aside your travel to US, you got to prioritize your liking. Some like parallel twin, some fall for Inline 4. Whats your liking towards. Get hold of that.
Secondly, Operating cost for 600 will obviously be more than 300
. Maintenance wise, your service bill apprx will be around 6k for 600 (leaving the 1st service as labour is free of charge).
You will end up spending say ~500 rs a week for fuel. (i.e.) You should be able to drive 160 kms with 8 litres. SO that sums up your weekly ride to work/college/etc
I am not going to give any gyan like what you ride now or the jump from a 100cc to 600cc is too much. But you got to get used to the power it delivers. I hope you must be well aware of the limits these machine can take you. Thanks guys ... This really did give me some perspective. Hopefully the next post here will be as an owner :-)Originally posted by yellowspunk View PostLogically T3, emotionally T6.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello Everyone,
The Man, the Bike, the Story….
A bike is, essentially and in all sense, Freedom to me. For years, I have held a deep passion and fascination toward bikes that can be compared to nothing else. I remember my dad’s old bike Yezdi Road King and how it looked – all shiny and perfect. This was an affair that started at that very young age of 10. I loved the sound the bike made – I loved the rumble of the engine – I loved the style complement that it was to my dad. Ever since, I have dreamed of having my own bike and riding out into the sunset! But I’m a guy, unlike many kids of this generation, who did not grow up to be a man until I was ready to grow up to be man. So, towards the end of the years of my formal education I gained a few inches and a few pounds and a lot of lean muscle; I was finally ready! I rode different bikes to satiate my senses – My brother’s TVS Apache 160cc, my friend’s Bajaj Pulsar 150cc, and another friend’s bikes over the years (Bajaj Caliber 115cc, Yamaha FZ16 153cc & KTM Duke 200cc) and a lot of other bikes too.
But I did not quiet want a normal bike, something that every Tom, Dick and Harry would be whirring about on. So I waited, until now.
I met my soul mate and although it was not love at first sight, it was true love - The Benelli TNT 300!!
As the saying goes, “Four wheels move the body – two wheels move the soul”. I am hooked and I want to share the stories of my love affair with this beauty, to the world!
Best Regards

Hearty congratulations on your booking. Its a very brave decision you have made without taking a test drive. I hope you have a great time with her. Ill post a new thread once I get my bike. I am at present going through the loan and other formalities.
To those who live in Chennai and own the TNT 300, I have a question. Whats the exact amount spent on servicing ? Both 1st and 2nd ?
Best Regards

Way too expensiveOriginally posted by brokenbinil View PostGot my second service done. Amount came to Rs.6300/- of which 2000 was general service charge alone. :/
I'm gonna cry when I give my bike for servicing. When I asked the Sales Person in Chennai, he told me the first servicing would cost me roughly 3.5k (as there is no labour charge) and with labour charge the max it would be between 4.5k-4.8k. 6k is way too much if you ask me.
What would they be doing for 6k ? Travel to another state to bring a bottle of oil ? :

I have booked the gorgeous TNT 300 and waiting for its delivery. I have a couple of questions and I was wondering if you could answer them.
1. Whats the exact amount to be paid per service. Both 1st and 2nd.
2. Is it safe to park her in malls and theatre parking lots ?
Looking forward to meeting you in one of our rides. Btw I am from Chennai and I live in Nungambakkam.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I would seriously advice not to park in Malls or theatre parking lots. You dont want to see your bike with turned mirrors, scratches on tha tank, hell even the bike may fall at its sides sometimes. You know how people are here in our cities.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View Post2. Is it safe to park her in malls and theatre parking lots ?

Even if you are taking it to any restaurants, make sure you have a close eye on her. I keep it in my office parking lot (Ascendas) at a secluded place, where people hardly notice it. I have been keeping it there for the last 3 months and its safe. So I happily work. But I still do go and check it out like once in 3 hours..a stroll in parking lot
I have PM'd you my contact. Do text me once you have got your bike. Lets catch up somewhere.R15S - Current

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on booking the bike.
1st service cost me 3357
2nd is due
I have never taken it to a mall or theatre. Even if I did, I know my mind will be completely pre-occupied regarding the safety. The bike gets way too much attention and sometimes it's not a good thing. I remember the first time I left it unattended outside an ATM, by the time I returned back in a minute, 5 people were around it and one clicking pictures.
I look forward to meet you and ride with you.
Cheers!

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I would take your advice and will make sure I take my Apache RTR when I visit theatres and malls. I have saved your number and I have also pinged you on WhatsApp. I look forward meeting you during my delivery.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Please do update me on how much they charge during your second service. It would also be great if you can post a picture of the bill.
Also, Im glad to hear that statement that you mentioned above "completely pre-occupied regarding the safety.". I thought I was the only one who would think this way and also the fact that I was over-thinking about my bike.
As stated above, Ill probably take my RTR when I go to theatres and malls.
Looking forward to meet you as well buddy.
