Hi All,
Ihave checked both the headlamps of our SR 150 and observed these two are from OSRAM BILUX- HS1. But the low beam states F5Z7 and high beam states F5M2.
Does some one know what is the difference between these two. In practical whether both these lights are same setup ?
I planning to change the stock headlamps to Philips Blue or Diamond Vision HS1 35W. Can i get two of these headlamps and replace these ones or I need to watch out any other things as well ?

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi all,
Can someone post some pics of the number plates for the front and back side .
I heard that front side needs some sticker work to be done as we cannot drill for a number plate .
So please do some pics of how it's done for the rear and front number plates .
Thanks

You could drill and install a bracket mount. It's ur choice. Or just put a small sticker patch below the headlamp. Or a strip at the side.Originally posted by Rahul Ranjith View PostHi all,

I used to have the same problem with Suzuki Access. The sound seemed to come from the brakes, but it was actually from the drive. Apparently this was due to some bell wear and misalignment and needed to be readjustment. This issue plagues Access scooters.Originally posted by Lalit Suryawanshi View PostI thik that sound frm engine

Hopeful this is an isolated incident for Aprilia and only a minor adjustment needed. The sound can be is really annoying.

Tank full to tank full avg comes out to be 36km/litrOriginally posted by s1d View PostWhy assume, when you can calculate FE accurately (tankful-tankful method as i explained earlier)
If you want to know the true full capacity of the tank, then drain the tank completely and fill it up before you do the FE calculation.. that way you will get the true full capacity, the FE and the fuel remaining (by doing a bit of basic math)

Wow, what a difference in FE between my R15 and SR150. I get an average of 47+ kmpl. But a 10 kmpl difference seems too much IMOOriginally posted by rahul.martial View PostTank full to tank full avg comes out to be 36km/litrR15S - Current

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys,
Sometimes while driving I hear sound like low power firecracker diffusing. Not sure from my bike but today I am sure I heard it from my bike and from back tyre. What's that any idea? Does it mean tyre is not in correct shape or something?
Thanks

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
That's called backfiring, and it's normal when you close the throttle when you decelerate suddenly by cutting the throttle completely. It's exhaust blowby, which is what is in your case and not the back tire.Originally posted by rahul.martial View PostHi guys,

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I'm planning to buy an Aprilia SR 150 in the coming few days. I took a test ride yesterday and have the following questions:
1. I am 6ft tall. Can the vehicle fit me and another pillion comfortably for rides that last atleast an hour or so? The seat (atleast pillion side) looked a bit on the smaller side.
2. I found a lot of vibration on the handlebar in idle state. Any workaround for this?
3. The sound from the engine/exhaust seemed really loud (compared to an activa). Is such a behaviour isolated to the test vehicle or do all vehicles have the same problem?
4. Is the sticker number plate on the front side okay from a legal standpoint?
5. Are helmet locks available in the market? I heard that the lock can be inserted in the grab rail. Please correct me if I am wrong.
6. I suffer from mild back pain now and then. I'm used to driving an activa and I'm not a big fan of its suspension. Are stiff suspensions on the SR150 better than an Activa's suspension? Is the suspension adjustable (if I find it too stiff)?
7. I got a quote of 83.5K (excluding accessories) from a dealership in Bangalore. Anyone got a better price recently in Bangalore?
Thanks!Last edited by nsp92; 01-01-2017, 11:11 AM.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 Owners Reviews and Experiences
1. Depends on what your comfort level is. I am over 6feet and I ride it fine. If you're riding solo, you can always move back a little. The seat is small. As big as the scooty pep maybe. But then its got decent legroom and handlebars are high up so you can be comfortable even if you sit right up in front.Originally posted by nsp92 View PostI'm planning to buy an Aprilia SR 150 in the coming few days. 2. No. It disappears once you throttle up.
3. All vehicles make a lot of racket. Thats how it is.
4. No. But then everyone is doing it. I have too. Plus there is no provision on the front for number plates.
5. If you got a half face helmet, it will fit in the box under the seat. Dunnot about the grab rail thing. Someone else will throw better light on it.
6. Yes suspensions are better than the activa. Absorbs the bumps quite well. Non adjustable though. But then all doctors will says riding bikes is bad for back problems.
7. Some blore guy will help you there.

Only thing that I'm disappointed with is the size of the vehicle and the storage space. But, mostly not deal breakers.
