That's surprising. I thought that the plum red was not being manufactured. Are you sure that the bike is from new stock?

So the speedo is at software version 2.1. There was that SW2.1 sticker on the speedo plastic film. I didnt rev it yet to 5500 rpm to check.
The front disc has a plastic protective cover over it like what the discover 100 used to have. I think they introduced it in new lot.
Also the delivery challan had vehicle details like chassis and engine number and there was another column with manufacturing date where it was mentioned 13 Oct 2017. I don’t have the challan right now as it was to be submitted for collecting vehicle.
Also i checked the VIN number where the last 5 digits indicate the number of chassis produced before this vehicle or it is like the N th chassis of the manufacturing plant.
A matte black dominar for display in the showroom had this number less than the one i picked up.
So all these points are leading me that it is a bike from new lot. Vijay said that the company has again started producing it because of its demand mainly in southern India.

Could you please post a picture of that disc cover? Was that removed or is it still on the bike? I would like to see it.

Here it is. I had few pics clicked earlier when i was selecting the bike in godown.Originally posted by nikhn View PostThat's great to hear. Plum looks really good in sunlight with all that glitter.

These are from my selected bike:
If you can see the black plastic piece over the front callipers (My Bad, not exactly like the discover 100. Discover had the covering which covers almost upper half of the disc)
Notice there isn’t anything on the showroom matte black display piece. Not sure if they removed or that batch was devoid of it.

Bro, Fully agree with you.Originally posted by Ijs View PostYes it does and by the colour of it i don't think there coolant mixing happening. It gets milky or coffee type when coolant is mixing.
I have seen this bubble thing in many bikes including ktms and res.
Had a chat with bajaj official area engineer on the this topic and colour getting dark. Got same reply from him too.
Fir bhi getting a professional second opinion won't hurt.
But you missed one point. The bike has run just 250Kms and didn't even go for first service.
He must have started the bike and clicked these photos and uploaded here, so forming bubbles was abnormal, i think. assuming very minor amount of mixup.
The Milky thing in oil does happen, but for that, it takes ~50Kms or so riding and more percentage of coolant in oil. in this case, the bike is new and hasn't done 300Kms in Total, so said, better get it checked. to ensure, no such thing happening.
Hoping everything would be fine and this isn't an issue at all.

Yes, the bike odo reads 260 now. initially I couldnt see any engine oil through the glass window before I start the bike. So i ridden around 10 kms and stopped my bike (no running engine) to see the warm engine oil level. There I find these bubbles in engine oil but with in 5mins or so bubbles in engine oil got disappeared. But once I start the bike bubbles reappeared. Checked with trusted mechanic, he mentioned that itz normal behaviour of factory filled oilOriginally posted by kris123456 View PostBro, Fully agree with you.

and the collant level remains same from the day 1 ( from 1 km in odo).

Immediately after the ride bubbles will be there as the lubrication is done by splashing of oil on componentsOriginally posted by jagaddjag View PostYes, the bike odo reads 260 now. initially I couldnt see any engine oil through the glass window before I start the bike. As ijs bhai and others have mentioned, the bubbles are absolutely normal , not just for factory oil, but for any oil. If you look closely through the window, you will see the bubbles gradually disappearing. Try it, its fun

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
A month back I purchased dominar without abs as that is the only piece available to my near showroom... Well completed 430 kms and waiting for first service.
I observed that the rpm of engine remain constant even after leave the accelerator, and it take more time than other as I experienced in my previous pulsar 180.
It is normal or do I need to tell this to service center. Another thing I wanted to know weather it is possible to put abs on my domi or abs not come separately.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I'm having the same issue, the oil level gauge shows engine oil to be low and often got bubble after riding. I took the bike to the service center and got the engine oil removed to check the quantity and it had exactly 1.5 ltrs.Originally posted by jagaddjag View PostYes, the bike odo reads 260 now. initially I couldnt see any engine oil through the glass window before I start the bike. (I don't have a pic of oil with bubbles, sorry :P)
