Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Gst will have no major impact on the price of bikes. The total tax will be around 28% after July 1st. You should check in your state if all the taxes combined are more than 28% or less. So that you can decide.Originally posted by kiransagar View PostI am getting triggered daily by reading the ownership thread. I am planning to book the bike in this month. Any idea on GST effect ? But bikes above 350cc will be dearer by 3%.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys from Bangalore, any recommendations for a yamaha showroom (preferably in south bangalore) which provides good pre/post sales services ? I am looking forward for buying Fz25.
I am fine going extra mile for buying/giving bike for service but would really hate nuisance created by inexperienced showroom mechanics.

I suggest Perfect Riders, near Urvashi theater. I really had good experience with their service team, Norbert (manager) has excellent technical knowledge and quite a humble guy.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostGuys from Bangalore, any recommendations for a yamaha showroom (preferably in south bangalore) which provides good pre/post sales services ? P.S.
I bought mine from Laxmi International and they have been horrible to deal with, hence shifted to perfect riders and so far so good.
Good luck mate.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
hello fellow xbhpians! i am new here. here in Guwahati i am getting this motorcycle for 1.34 lakhs on the road (free two year insurance i was told). good price right? so paid 50k today and the rest tomorrow.
problem is its raining cats and dogs here to the extent that the streets in some areas is waterlogged upto knee level and above. so i think its a bad time to receive a new vehicle.
by the way this is going to be my first one! plan is to take the delivery and ride it to my village 160 kilometres from guwahati. super excited but the weather forecast shows heavy rain tomorrow
i am taking the black one, super sexy!
if all goes well and i do get the bike tomorrow, I'll post a pic here of the bike just to satisfy myself. excited about this too!
p.s. location is delhi cause i'm studying there. will transport the bike there late july by train

For the ride, please make sure you give enough break, since the bike is brand new.Last edited by dineshaugustin; 06-15-2017, 07:08 AM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dont buy it from Laxmi Motors (bannerghatta road). The support guy over their (Suresh reddy) he is not committed to his word. He has given me some xyz quote, when i reached the showroom yesterday with all the money, he increased the price by over 1500 rupees.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostGuys from Bangalore, any recommendations for a yamaha showroom (preferably in south bangalore) which provides good pre/post sales services ? Giving me some non sense reason. on the top of that, he asked me bring the white paper on which he has mentioned the price as a "Proof". As if i was lying. Dont trust Yamaha Laxmi Motors. They dont even have proper service stations.
I immediately booked one for me from Perfect Riders.
All went smooth. Transaction was done really nicely. No hassles at all. There you will find one guy (Jayanth).
He is will help you in every manner and will make sure you understand the whole process. Absolute on par customer support. I wish every showroom handles their customer the same way.
Today i am going to pick up my bike

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Considering all the quirks (and all the pros) that this bike has, is it a good choice as someone's first bike?
I especially like it's power delivery because it's forgiving, unlike some of its competitors. But the lack of ABS worries me. Any suggestions about braking for a newbie?

for first bike my vote goes to R15. or fz16 if it has to be upright bike and you do not wish to explore thrill and adrenalineOriginally posted by numa97 View PostConsidering all the quirks (and all the pros) that this bike has, is it a good choice as someone's first bike?

develop good breaking skills. depending on abs right from start not a good idea. besides abs inspires overconfidence in some ppl so be careful about that.

It's more forgiving than the D400.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Postand i dont think its power delivery is all that forgiving. have you test ridden bike? it has good power down low in rev range. will scare newby in traffic if you dont have prior experience.
