It is not possible to install as the output shaft length will differ and also the construction will be entirely different..Originally posted by vishaldiwan396 View PostYamaha RX100 (1993)

One word impossible. On the other hand, here is why there is no point installing r15 gearboxOriginally posted by vishaldiwan396 View PostIs there a way to install R15's gearbox into Fz25? We can all agree that not having a 6th gear is one of the major cons of this bike, along with the rear tyre and if R15 gearbox is a direct fit, it would help the bike to great a extent.
R15 gear ratio
1st=2.833
2nd=1.875
3rd=1.364
4th=1.143
5th=0.957
6th=0.84
FZ25 gear ratio
1st- 2.571 (36/14)
2nd- 1.684 (32/19)
3rd- 1.273 (28/22)
4th- 1.040 (26/25)
5th- 0.852 (23/27)| SOL 68s | Rynox Tornado Pro | Rynox Advento | Cramster TRG2 | Scoyco MC20 | Hero 5 and SJ6 |

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Sad to hear that. What is the aftermath?Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostMy high beam gone kaput yesterday. Bike had peen parked in open area and it rained yesterday. After rains got over, just when I started bike there was smoke/fumes formed in HL unit and immediately high beam gone, though high beam indicator in console is glowing but LED in reflector not glowing.
I feel rain water seeped inside reflector. Bike is one year old and in last year rain also I used to park in open but usually cover it. This time it was first heavy rainfall of season and I was not able to cover bike.
This quality not expected from Yamaha.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys, looking forward to buying a bike mainly for touring. I'm already aware of all the pros and cons of the FZ25. What I wanted to know is that whether the FZ25 is reliable enough to do hostile terrians of Ladakh and Spiti? I know it's Yamaha, but I read some posts where the riders stated that their bike stopped accelerating for a few seconds all of a sudden, like some electrical malfunction occured. Now the bike being FI equipped, it'd be really tough to get the engine working if I got stranded in a deserted place. And the less powerful battery that it comes with won't help either in the cold mornings. So, what do you guys suggest? Should I get myself an FZ25?
Btw, along with the FZ25, I have Pulsar NS 200 ABS, and Apache RTR 200 4V 2.0 ABS (both are carburetted) on my bucket list.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The stoppage in acceleration is nothing but low fuel level or a dirty fuel injector, or overheated fuel tank. You can reliably ride anywhere, provided you put apt tyres. People have already gone everywhere with the bike. And you said it right, it's a Yamaha after all, far reliable than a Bajaj or a TVS atleast.Originally posted by imshivs7 View PostGuys, looking forward to buying a bike mainly for touring. If it is touring you are looking at go for Mojo. FZ25 is good.. you can tour but its not as comfortable as tourer bikes.Originally posted by imshivs7 View PostGuys, looking forward to buying a bike mainly for touring. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Already many riders on fz25 done ladakh n spiti. This bike is perfect for mountains/high altitude / off roading as it is lightweight and have huge torque at low rpms but it is not the bike if you like high speed cruising above 100kmph. Engine is stressed at high rpms.Originally posted by imshivs7 View PostGuys, looking forward to buying a bike mainly for touring. I'm already aware of all the pros and cons of the FZ25. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If it is predominantly for touring you are looking at, not sure how FZ25 will fare. Because I heard that FZ25 engine feels stressed at high rpms, probably due to absence of a sixth gear. I believe Dominar is a good option for touring. There's no reliability issues with Dominar too.Originally posted by imshivs7 View PostGuys, looking forward to buying a bike mainly for touring. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dear XBHP'ns
I am new to this Forum and thank you for including me as well. I am also a proud owner of FZ25 which i recently purchased on June 1st 18. The bike has clocked 850 KMS till now and boy I enjoyed every little bit. Have been riding Karizma R for a decade and switching to FZ25 had initial issues like Wrist pain and Hard Seat which fade away within few kms of ride. Done few mods like Handgaurds, Engine Belly Pan and Wheel Rim Sticker. Nothing Much but looks good i believe. The Grunt it got is awesome and the Feels like riding a higher capacity Sports bike.
Have attached Few images which is guess you people will like. Keeping it short and simple As it is my first day with XBHP.
