Why would you use yamalube FS for lubricating cables and pivots in the first place?Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostNoticed that cheap engine oil works better than the yamalube FS for general lubrication of clutch cable and pivots.

Sir, don't do that if you don't want your chain and sprockets spoiled. Use gear oil and kerosene instead. Or use diesel in place of kerosene. Or use the chain cleaner + lubricant combo.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostBecause it comes 150ml remaining every oil change :-) if it's there thought to use it.

He is talking about lubricating cables and pivots, not the chain and sprockets.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostSir, don't do that if you don't want your chain and sprockets spoiled. You are right. Shashank is right too :-) I wasn't clear. I meant the other things like stand, side stand, clutch cable and lever etc. Thanks for replying.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostSir, don't do that if you don't want your chain and sprockets spoiled. Yes I get the point. But the thing is that 10w40 is pretty thin, use a thicker grade oil or lubricate more often.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostBecause it comes 150ml remaining every oil change :-) if it's there thought to use it.

Yes you are right. Didn't realize that till I saw it wasn't working. I just have a practice of putting a few drops of oil on all moving levers and clutch cable every 1000km. The company specs use of grease for the stands and clutch lever but for my use find it gets gritty. Forgot the company adviced lube interval. One important note is for the front brake lever don't use oil or normal grease. Only silicon grease once in 10000km.Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostYes I get the point.
