Hi RebellionRiderRTR I have one doubt bro.
A single disc variant has a rear tyre section of 110/80 , meanwhile A dual disc variant has rear tyre (fatter) of 130/70 R17 respectively !!!

My doubt is whether the rim is larger or whatsoever how the difference in between 110 and 130 size is placed ??

Is it safer to upgrade bigger tyres ??

Cheers,
Logi.

Hi All,

Something amazing happened recently, I got 39kmpl for the recent ride. Before it used to be 35kmpl.

I changed my riding style a little, I shift to top gear sooner. Apart from that all the riding condition remains same.

This improvement in kmpl will be because the engine has set-in or there must be something wrong with my previous and present riding style. But I have seen others in the group reported same mileage of 35 in this group.

Will check the mileage again and confirm.

Regarding chain cleaning and lubing.
How often do you guys do that?

I do the deep cleaning of bike every Saturday along with that cleaning of chain cleaning (kerosene) and lubing (motul).

Is this bad to clean and lube chain on weekly basis?

Kindly advice😊

Happy & safe riding!

Yeah. Me too. I changed mine too and I got 41 kmpl. My technique was to drive it in 5th gear around 40-50 kms and I never thought dat could happen in my driving.

Chain lubricating can b done once in a month if it is city driving and twice if highway driving depending upon chain stiffness or chain squeaks.

Cleaning the bike, just don't go rough, b gentle to maintain the teflon and the colour to stay and can go deep cleaning once or twice a month depending upon the usage of bike or if u do treks or driving muddy roads.
Safe ride,

Hi Lin ,

What about your odo reading?
I heard about 45-50 kms/ pl mileage however it all depends on the riding method.

*In High traffic and if speeds are 100+ you can't get 40+ mileage.
* If ridden under economical range (4-5k at each gear) and not facing much traffic then you can see around 45+ kmpl easily .

Chain cleaning : I hope it's ok to lube every 500 kms and clean with kerosene,WD-40 or diesel before lubing.
No need to clean once in a week !

[emoji615]️ CAUTION : Don't clean the chain more often ! It will get rusted or it's life will be shedded.

Regarding bike cleaning just clean the dust visible with a smooth cotton cloth or sponge and Don't water wash the bike always .

Cheers,
Ride safe !

Guys a few updates on my ownership experience so far:

The bike still njoys some exclusivity here on Kerala roads. I mean there are more Dukes on road than RTR200 and 160 4V s combined and the bike does turn a few heads, especially of biking enthusiasts.

The exhaust note is an attention grabber as well and most commuter bikes will give you way if you are willing to revv and make a statement

Cutting through traffic is sooo enjoyable in city roads, but down side is you inadvertently pick up races with hornets, gixxers etc because they think you want to humiliate them

Some of the niggles I had like engine feeling rough and hot in traffic stops, revs not dropping completely when closing throttle etc are addressed after i reduced idling rpm slightly from 1100 to 1000. Now hot idling at traffic stops are 1100 instead of earlier 1400-1500 and engine feels relaxed and cooler. Revs are also dropping nicely when closing throttle between gear shifts

Mileage has slightly increased close to 40 kmpl from earlier 35 kmpl in city conditions. I am mostly riding solo and shifting gears at around 4000 rpm, max rpm is 6000 in open stretches with speed 75-80 km/h

Good price, Is that number bulged in plates (as found in cars) or sticker work normally ?
