Food for thought : RTR160 4V is 0.3s slower to 100 than 200 4V.

Let that sink in! <3

What??

TVS claimed 0-60 is 3.95 s for 200 4v and 4.73 s for 160 4v. A gap of 0.78 s. (both carbureted versions)

0-100 gap must be higher

After testing the motorcycles back to back, I must say the Vbox does it's job perfectly. Also, yes only 0.3s to 100.

TVS underclaims the number for this motorcycle. And yeah, this handles better than the RTR200 4V too, coz of the lower single piece handle bar. Chassis too, if a bit more stiff.

Then that's impressive.

I've ridden both the 160 4v and 200 4v but haven't pushed them to their limits. Just some spirited city rides at ~60 kmph and a few highway runs upto 100 kmph (gradual acceleration; no full throttle). So I can't comment about the chassis and handling though both felt nimble enough for filtering through city traffic.

BTW what are the actual 0-100 timings??

The 160 4V with the 110 section rear tyre is even more impressive than the 130 section variant, try it sometime.

Also the actual 0-100 kmph timings are 11.8s.

Do you have the 0-100 timings of any other bikes in the 150-250 cc range?? Especially the FZ25 and NS200

Edit: Also the 0-60 timings of the 160 4v and 200 4v

Hi ayrus JS16 is it possible to have 150/70 tyre in Apache 160 4v ?

If not !!
Then how's it possible to have a 110 and 130 section on same rims in drum brake and dual disc variants?

I hope instead of a vbox , the google map with GPS shows the correct speeds and even many apps in Google play can be used .

I think they probably have different rims. Because if both tyres are on the same rims, the 130/70 tyres would look kind of pinched at the top. Also I guess the drum brake variant has a narrower tyre hugger.

[What I've said is purely based on looks. I haven't actually measured them.]

BTW do you want to put a 150/70 rear tyre??

No no just asked about that, I haven't owned it will buy it probably after 10 days..I am going on dual disc variant (carb) .

Although many are saying that the rear disc gets squeaky noises , I hope it can be solved !
What about you , Which variant you own?

Hi guys , what type of helmet locks you have ?
Shall I go with the steel rope type with number lock ??

Anyone suggest me a good one !!!
And I have decided to buy "Abus disc lock " from Amazon for the bike safety .

Is it ok?

Are u using stock lights ?
Yeah I am on stock head light and visibility is decent with low beam and good with high beam. So no issues there and I haven't felt the need to change the stock setup. Make sure your helmets visor is periodically wiped clean and free from scratches. That will also improve the visibility at night and rain.

I own the RTR 200 Race Edition base variant (no ABS)

My friends have 160 4v disc brake and drum brake variants but I've not ridden the drum brake variant.

About the sqeaky noise from the rear disc, it is only heard when going hard (REAL HARD) on the rear disc brake. You'll never get it if you use both the brakes together. Also this is when I rode the bike at around 900 kms with no helmet.

When I took the bike at 2500 kms, I was riding with a helmet and the sound was not heard. Maybe it was gone or the helmet muffled it.... I don't know. The point is – it is not bothersome.

Oh ya sure indeed, thanks for the info !

How do you lock your helmet in the bike ?
Or you simply carry it wherever you go ?

How do you find in the U-Turns ?

Is it nimble to do so flick !, Coz i found little uneasy during a U-Turn during test rides apart from that bike is a gem !! [emoji106][emoji1][emoji123]
