      • My Bike has completed almost 1400 km. I changed the engine oil on 550 km and since it was a mineral oil, i should be again changing the oil after 1500 km right? That is at 2000km. So this time should i again change to mineral oil or go for semi-synthetic?

keep it mineral for the time being after 3500+ change to semi-synthetic!

          • Help!!!

            Guys,
please confirm if your silencer pipe is touching the crash guard from the bottom bolt of crash guard(leg guard RHS)
Cause I had small crash last night and i feel that it may have damaged something.

the accident has caused the leg guard to bend a little and now it's rubbing against the silencer.

                Thanks,
But generally how much gap is there between guard & silencer?

                  • 500 KMS on ODO

                    Hello Guys,....

Well guys I have covered 500Kms on my ODO and till now I have only one thing to tell about my RTR....
                    It is just AWSOME.....!!!

Well I found out that one of the most impossible things in this world is to keep the RTR under 4K or 50kmph while riding it....!!!
Anyway I am trying hard to do that....
Well anyway my 1st service is due in 2-3 days as i will cover nearly 700kms on the odo so that I can go for the 1st service...

Till now I do not have any problems regarding the bike....I had only one small thing that if I am riding with a pillion and if I get a road hump which is a bit bigger and if I go a bit faster on it.....the centre stand scratches against the road.....I am not sure why this is happening....
I checked the stand and it is fine....
Is it because the stand when in open position is at an angle to the road instead of being parallel....
as per the specifications....RTR has a ground clearance of 180mm which is 20 mm more than my P150) which I owned before...But I did not face this problem in my P250....I faced it very rarely probably 4-5 times in 3 years...!!

Please let me know guys if there is any problem in the stand...or is it due to more soft adjustment of the shock absorbers...???

Also I have another doubt....the engine oil used for RTR that is TVS TRU 4 ...is it a mienral oil or semi-synth oil...?? beacuse the mechanic had told me it is golden in color so it is semi-synth....!!!!

Is it true...please shed some light on this....sorry for the long post...

Actually I checked it on the can but it was nowhere written if it is a mineral oil or a semi-synth....that is the reason I got the doubt and also I was sure it was not a semi-synth as we will not get any semi-synth under 200Rs....

Anyway I am not much happy with the oil...so in my ifrst serive i plan to change the oil.....instead of the TVS TRU4 I will go for MOTUL 3100 4T PLUS...which is also a 20w40 mineral oil.....
If I cange the oil to MOTUL will there be any warrnty void problem...?? please let know....

                        • TVS Tru4 is mineral.
Warranty issue is SVC dependent. If you can get to convince them that it is the same grade, etc.etc.then they won't have a problem with it.

may be the hump was bit too high and as you were double you might have took it slow that caused a swing which resulted in the centre stand scratch.

there is no prob with the stand nor the shocks of RTR's are on the soft side, in fact they are comparitivey stiff.

Thanks for the reply....I will try to convince the SVC guys for this thing...as the grade is the same which I will be using....the Motul 3100 is also a 20w40 grade...as the TVS TRU 4.

I agree with you on the shocks of the RTR...but the hump is not too high....actully its my daily road to office and I had been using the P150 for the past 2years on the same road.... and the RTR too now on the same road...
The approximate speed I used to be in while crossing the hump in P150 ...is the same approximate spped now in which I ride the RTR....
and I scratched the stand 3 times in last 10 days....and after that I began to slow down more than required to cross the hump and then I do not have that scratch....
I think the stand of the RTR is at an angle....if you see from the side....it is stopped by a pari of cushions so that it does not hit the top....
As a result of that the stand is not parallel to the ground in open position...and also the centre stand spring is not so strong and when we go on a hump is a bit higher speed the stand as it is in an angle tends to move more towards the down side in the momentum of the shocks....
that is when it scratches the ground....
this is what I thought...please let me know your suggestions....or advice...
