Looks are secondary to me. As long as they serve the purpose i will go for them. But i still havent got my answer. Will the R15 tyres be a direct fit?

    • I second rennycornelius on this.. hey if a 120 rear will reduce the top end by 4 or 5 kms maybe the reduction to 80 front and 100 rear will increase the top end by the same. The RTR really deserves grippier tyres.

Ok thanks for answering my query. Lets see where i can find one in my town.
Another thing. My bike has just completed 1000km. Will it void the warranty or anything if i change the tyre now?

Will there be any problem if i just change the rear tyre for the time being? Later i will change the front also.

                • A New Owner of the BEAST

Hi guys… I finally bought my RTR 180 last week. I had planned to purchase the vehicle in December only and even had paid partial amount and booked the vehicle and on the day of delivery my parents told to take the delivery on Jan 1st as it is new year and a good day and all that sort of stuff…

You all might understand my frustration that I had to go through for the last 2 weeks of December….it was really difficult to dream of the bike and wait for it….
I just could not wait to lay my hands on it….

And finally the day arrived….after late night parties…of the New Year anyway I could not sleep all night ..I was dreaming of my RTR….

Finally next morning on the day new year ….1st Jan…I went to the showroom and VOILA!!!!...there it was my all Black RTR sparkling….standing there and waiting for me….Well I know most of people like the White RTR….ya I too agree it is too good….but I always liked the classic colors….so it was either Black or Grey for me…
And after long and hard thinking I went for Black…

The Showroom guy was very happy to see me as it was a long time before I had booked my bike….he was quite eager to deliver the bike…so all the paper work went on very fast…and after that a senior mechanic came to explain me all the operation and controls of the bike…..
Actually it turned out that I explained the details of the bike to him…rather than him to me….I knew more about the bike than him….thanks to all the XBHP owners….who are experts on bikes….
Well after the delivery I went straight to Temple and performed a big puja…
Than I just filled the tank full and went on a long drive.

Well what to say now…..the performance of the bike is awesome….previously I had a P150 and now the RTR is s sheer BEAST compared to the P150…
the ease with which the bike zooms ahead…..is amazing…

it feels as if the best place to ride a bike for the sheer pleasure of it is on the seat of RTR 180….

I am very much blown away by the RTR…the only thing guys I am very soory to say…the tyres are not upto the mark….I don’t know what is the problem….but I do not feel the confidence as I felt with the MRF rubbers…..
Probably I will change both the tyres it in the future….to MRF…
Well I have put in 270KMS on my ODO till now…II had done more riding in the weekends and now once office started it is only to office and back to home….nearly 40kms to and fro….everyday….
Attached some pics of my Beast….well the pics were taken in my Mobile camera so may not be of great quality…..

Please allow me to join the esteemed group of RTR180 owners…..which will be my pleasure entirely…

Bro...as per the experts advice ...and long discussions which I came across for the tyres of RTR....the suggestion is

                      Rear Tyre: R15

                      Front Tyre: Pulsar 220.

These are the best fittings for the RTR180. I intend to go for these fittings in future before the monsoon starts aroung may or June...till then I will use the stock tyres...
                      Just try these options....

Congratulations for the black beast!! Do keep us updated about the performance of the bike.

And i would like to agree on you regarding the tyre combo.Should work well on the 180.

                        • How will the R15 rear tyre perform off road? And will it affect the straight line stability and braking?

                          • Can't really comment about the performance of the R15 tyre on the 180.You will need to find it by yourself. You should know that the brilliant deltabox frame is what lends the R15 superb handling characteristics. The tyres are just secondary and one cannot be sure about its performance on another bike because the tyre was designed keeping the R15's weight/dynamics in mind.

Ya thats the thing. My friend told me the same thing. Lets see if i can find any MRF tyres here in my city. As there is a deficit of MRF tyres here.
