  • ^^ dude ur bike is a week old, thats why
maybe after some years u'll need it! also after not using the bike for a week or more its better to use choke, or too much load on the batteries!!

    • [QUOTE=sid137;758545]hey, i 'used' to service my ride from them. they are kinda ohhk with their job but make sure u are there at the service centre when they are working on ur bike.
one issue is they tend to overcharge and change things when not necessary. believe me i have had a bad experience with them

Yea, even i have observed that they are strictly average with their work, i go there because the head manager "Mr Kumar" is a very friendly guy & tries to get your issues resolved.
Otherwise the rest are very reluctant, feels like they are working in a pan beedi shop, one mechanic ,was checking his FB profilewhen i went to pay the service charges after they had serviced my cousins Wego...
Now i am planning to give it for servicing in borivali to "Vijay Tvs", genuine guy, no unnecessary methods to try & make quick money & the best part is, he takes only 8 bikes per day for servicing.
OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR OF MY BEAST DO NOT APPEAR CLOSE- THEY SIMPLY DISAPPEAR !!!

It's needle bearing used in rocker. see below image...i have shown it just for reference, Apache's rocker arm is much different than this.
I'm talking about the encircled bearing. In Apache, this bearing has much clearance along axis of shaft which according to mechanic, makes rattling noise.

I always kick start the bike in the morning..does that also overload the battery??

                  No, it does not.
Thing is, it is recommended to kick start (with choke applied, if needed) when engine is cold to avoid battery overload and for extending battery life.

I think its better to go for a Kick start in the morning

                    • bike wiring

it seems that wiring of this bike done not in copper or brass but done in some other metal to reduce cost.other metal wiring may not be durable and reliable.please check wire of the wiring or spark plug cover, you may see the metal.pl.check it ,it is serious matter.

Did you spot gold/platinum wires ? it was one of lucky draw contest

Hmm on a serious note, copper is cheapest good conductor if they use anything it will add more heat because some more energy is lost, so I dont think they used any other metals , if they have it may be alloys, any ways I have not dug up that much into bike, lets see others opinions

                        • Motul 7100 and Tuning update:

Done with around 2000 kms with Motul 7100 FS. The oil is behaving extremely well even after back to back long rides and high speed riding. I earlier reported issues of sluggish performance and lack of top speed and got the tuning done by SVC mech. Now the performance is back I hit a top of 134 (personal best) and the bike is returning a mileage of 42 kmpl !!

                            • hi, everyone i have been getting some problems with my bike recently. My friend has a apache rtr 160 with k&n, when in the morning i started his bike it refused to start without choke and the choke had to be held for many seconds to make the bike's rpm needle stable. Whereas on my bike the bike starts at the first lil push on the self button in mornings. But the scenario gets reversed in the day time. In the day time i.e after running atleast 20-30kms my ike takes push of the selfbutton along with throttle while the 160 starts in a lil push of the self button. Can anyone tell me about this...??

I think that your bike is running rich and your pal's RTR is running lean.
