If so sorry, but I can't wait just to scribble about it . Well the thing is my friend has a 160cc FI and he had some problem with the ECU and when he went to SVC the mechanic who he knows very much told about this and even tested with a 200cc ECU which they have with them. He said the exhaust note is bit more vibrant and gives you the feeling of riding some big machine.
I highly doubt it, no offence.
An ECU of a yet to be released bike in the hands of a simple mechanic is not a normal thing.
Does your friend mean to say that a 200cc apache's ECU was used on the 160 model?
If yes, is it possible for your friend to check the ECU and try to find some part number or something on it and verify if it is really a new one or a different one.

        • Hi guys,my bike's hiccup is back again While accelerating, the bike feels like it has ran out of petrol.Earlier, the TVS mechanic adjusted the TPS and it was all fine. But after filling up fuel at a pump,it has reoccured.
Is it the TPS problem or anything else?

He is not a normal mechanic. He is the head mechanic in that SVC. Also I had told that my friend knows him very well and thats the only reason he shared this info with him.

Yes thats what I understood by talking with him.
He had an issue with his bike. SO they had to cross check if the ECU is the culprit or something else. For that they used this and my friend came to know about this only after enquiring with him after he sensed some difference in the way it roared.

I dont think he can do that.
The SVC is not supposed to reveal those stuffs because that will effect their licence.

I sense it is the TPS issue again. Pay a visit to SVC.

kool, if its true them its a real good news, it would be nice if A200 can compete with P200NS. The customer is the ultimate winner

P.S. use the multi quote button instead of posting back to back.

Me too facing the same problem again, the familiar hiccups at the lower rpms are back again.Time to change the TPS!.For a rough guess to know if the TPS is faulty, ride the bike at a constant speed(between 2k-3k rpm).At this point,if the bike gives hiccups as if its running out of fuel, the TPS is at fault. But I would first recommend to get the carb jets cleaned.Same thing(hiccups) happens if the pilot jet is clogged.

If its a repeated incident, change it. Anyway cross-check with SVC on the same.

The existing A180 can compete with P180 & old P200, though might fall short on with P200-NS.
So if A200 Fi launches forget the 200cc segment bikes as they might be just darts on Rear view mirror, then our targets will be competing with 220cc segment.
I know I'm exaggerating a bit but its ok to hope for that level of performance because TVS have taken so much time for their R&D. So lets hope they will as always come up with some damn Ready To Kill machine.

                        • If at all Apache RTR 200-Fi is a go by TVS, i really would like to have it this way:

Kerb weight restricted to a max 139kg

22 Bhp at the rear wheel, what? yup
                          Oil cooler
                          6-speed box
Smoother performance between 4.5-6.0K engine rpm

                          Mono shock rear suspension

Split seats. But the pillion should have comfort

Same handle bar position. But rider foot pegs be raised and set backwards wee bit more

The chassis tweaked to handle the additional power

                          Price OTR 95K

                          Guys, what say?
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.
