Replaced the TPS today morning. Yes, the hiccups are gone. Feels very smooth and the response is much quicker as well. Riding the RTR 180 is a bliss now.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

What was the reason to change the AFR screw?
If he has not messed with AFR screw's rotation, then everything would be fine

Same here. As I've posted earlier, got my second TPS (2006 stock) few weeks back. Fitted it, but hiccups are still there. Day before yesterday got another one for 125INR and is from 05/2012 stock. The dealer ordered it for me. Today going to try this one and let's see.

The SVC has this tendency to unplug the TPS when we complain about hiccups. BUT, this thing HAS to be on and faultless, or else there would be lag (the engine won't respond quickly to throttle inputs), lack of smoothness and the exhaust would back fire as well.
Thanks for ur reply .. yes its backfiring now but the acceleration is very smooth!
And i will try to buy one more TPS for the last time and see!!
              Hopefully it will be resolved!!!

And also i have turned 3 half turns form complete lock position of the AFR screw.
              Is it a proper setting?

I've never tuned the carb myself. So can't comment.

Run for some more miles then check the spark plug tip. If it's sort of brown, it's fine. If white/glazed or wet/dry black in colour, then some further fine tuning is required.

Try to find the most skilled tuner in your area and let him do the tuning which suits your bike.

                        • Well One Query here, My Gearbox isnt smooth yet

200+km rode on bike till now, specially first two gear take lots of pain to get shift (up/down), somehow i am not enjoying this ? what may be the reason? should i wait till first servicing or any other reason ?

Hope its minor issue as i know.....

I believe it is normal.. Just wait till first service is over.. Things will definitely get smoother

                              • The "Vibrator" ( nick name of my RTR 180 ABS) is no longer the "Vibrator".. Got her filled with Shell Advanced Ultra 10W40 fs oil. The bike is free from vibrations & the engine noise has reduced a bit.The bike feels more refined & more rev happy. The clutch feels more accurate & sharp.I wished, i switched to fs oil right from first service.
