When I called TVS customer care they said they have no idea on which part is covered under warranty..Crap Guys ...then for what the heck they are running this service ....Can anyone confirm on this before I blast them for not informing me on the same...Actually it is from kantu (xbhp member) I came to know that it is covered under warranty...I did like to know if anyone else also has faced the same issue & changed under warranty?? Because SVC guys will fool around saying it is not covered. So I need some kind of proof or docs where the parts covered under warranty are mentioned...
I recently changed my seepdo sensor in warranty my bike is 20mnths old

Get extra clutch wire and throttle cable, alongwith spare bulb (headlight), foot pump, puncture repair kit, and trust me most of the time you will bring these things packed as it is.
Thanks will do that leaving on 25th of june

          1. ABS is on by default on the bike. You can't change it , even if you switch it off and also switch off the bike, the next time the bike starts, it's ON.

          2. ABS can be switched ON/OFF only when the bike is stationery, in the manual they say it's a safety thing.

          3. The ABS light on the console is a warning light for example when we apply hand brake in cars or don't put on seat belt in certain cars, on the console it shows a warning to indicate it. It's the same concept here. It indicates/warns that the ABS is off when it is glowing.

4.Now the thing were it flickers or goes on and off continuously when we start the bike, when I asked the SVC guys they said it was the ABS system checking itself. It goes off only when the bike attains a speed of around 10 kmph. It will stay like that as long as we start the bike and keep it stationery.

Basically ABS is on when the light goes off and is off when the light glows.

Hope you understood .....Njoy the bike bro!!!! Cheers!!!
!!! Thumbs up !!! That was the perfect explanation.. Cheers to you bro

          • How often should i change oil filter

            Hi Guys,
Last month when i was changing my oil, i asked the mechanic to change the oil filter as well.
The mechanic told that the threads are getting a bit rough so while tightening the OIL filter cover, he told that u don't need to change the oil filter on every oil change. He told that the oil filter can go till 10,000 kms.

Guys i have been changing the OIL filter each time the oil change.
Can anybody suggest me upto how many KMs oil filter in RTR180 can go ?

Change the disc plate and next time onwards change the brake pads every 4k-5k kms (depending on their health)

10000kms , get the oil filter changed every alternate oil change or whenever you are changing the grade of the oil. And yes do show the mechanic the service booklet, its clearly mentioned when to replace (written as R) the oil filter

I would recommend replacing the oil filter during all the initial services. This practice can be extended to say, around 7000kms. After that, replacing the filter at alternate intervals would be enough. Likewise, after clocking 7000Kms on the odo, use of a semi-synth oil like Motul 5100 ester 4T 10W40 would be great. This oil would hold nice till 4500Kms. So, you would be changing the filter at around 10,000Kms.

Bro i have clocked 16,700Kms and not yet replaced the front disk pads. Still got more than enough bite upfront. And i use the front one's more than the rear! 70%, sort of.

We all know you have the new '12 RTR 180 ABS, so you don't have to always say that
                                Shift at 3500-4000 Rpm.

Yes, but W40 is produced too. Check out the following link bro.
                                Amazon.com: Motul 5100 Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil - 10W40 - Gallon 3081GAA: Automotive

Enquiry Form | Atlantic Lubricants & Specialties Pvt. Ltd.

P.S. I've used it last year. Got it for 375INR from my dealer as it was from '08 stock. W40 is difficult to source here too. 15W50 is common as Pulsars need those and is of great demand.
