I think there may be 1 Ltr bottle also will be available in other shops.. Victor GLX is coming with 900 ml capacity. For Fiero's it was 1100ml. From apache 150 onwards TVS reduced the oil capacity to 1 Ltr. For Motul30004T, it is available in 900 ml and 1 Ltr. Some shops only 900 ml was available. Initial 500 kms in Motul30004T was rough. But after that engine was very smooth.

for FIERO it was 1000ml for the oil change and 1100ML when the whole engine was opened(head, clutch assembly, till to the naked piston)....

Yeah, in the morning the kickstart would be a bothersome if you dont do it properly.Dont try to be too hard or too soft on the kick.Kick it till the end with fair amount of pressure, also after you kick do not leave it abrubtly try to keep it for a second. Once you are able to kickstart the bike, follow the similar pattern to start, henceforth.

PS:Try giving the choke, if you are not able to kick start after multiple attempts!!

I think he is keeping the engine kill switch in off position&trying to kick!

It is a usual problem nothing to worry

You need to get used to the vehicle for kick-starting.

Always press the clutch fully when kick-starting (do this even if it is in neutral).

During cold-start use the choke for starting. After cold-start allow the engine to idle for 2 min before taking the vehicle for riding.

Even for Apache it is the same - 1000ml for oil change and 1100 ml if crank case is open.

                    • Friends,

Have done 200 km in my RTR 180 which I bought last week.

                      Some observations,
1.) The pick-up is very good (thats obvious !)
2.) Cornering is stable (I was riding a TVS Victor for the past 6 years).
3.) Gear shifting is not smooth for the past 2 days. Do I need to change the engine oil now.
4.) I'm riding with 55-65 kmph in city (4000-5000 rpm). Will that harm my new engine?. At these speeds, I could feel the vibrations. The handle bar seems to be wobbling at these speeds. But after crossing that 5000 rpm mark, the bike is stable.
5.) Due to rain here my white angel is getting dirty. How to wash/clean ny new bike?. Can I use car shampoo?

Please share your views on that.

                      • @bala - it will take a bit of time to get used to gear shifting - just take it slow.... things will be better soon.... as far as I understood, shifting at the right rpms make it butter smooth...you'll get the hang of it soon enough. To clean you bike, the best bet is to use plain water... no hot water, no shampoo etc.... I'm sure you dont what the glossy look to fade..do you now? What I do it, use tap water, hose the dirty parts, use a soft brush to gently scrub down sticking dirt, oily parts - i rub it off with cloth, (wash the cloth seperately)....

The White RTR is a beauty. Keep it clean.... Always!!!

RTR's gearbox is notchy, specially while shifting down...
make sure you "Match the revs" while downshifting to get the smooth shifts otherwise it'll always feel notchy even if you'll put new oil everyday.

                              • Rear Disc Sound

Hi all... I have a small problem with the rear disc which makes squeaking sounds even if am not braking. The service people cleaned it during my first service but now it has again returned after 5 days.an I safely ignore the sound or will it wear out the disc pads?? because the sound isnt audible everytime..
