Hi guys,
Could any one here give an idea about the price of RTR mirrors in Bangalore? And anywhere they are available?
People here at TVS svc centre are such morons! I've tried 3 service centres and non has the mirrors. Since they don't have they won't even tell the price.
So help needed guys.My thoughts...

You can try the shops around JC Road but it would be tough to lay hands on genuine stuff. Which part of Bangalore do you reside?Originally posted by harshit.d View PostHi guys,

Well you can search around the centres located in JayaNagar,Banerghetta Road(Neo TVS), JP Nagar(Mars TVS). If you dont then ask them if you can place an order for the same.Originally posted by harshit.d View PostI'm located near Bommanhalli.

guys its been only 15 days since i bought my A180...650kms done...i have started facing some serious problems...when i ride my bike in 4th or 5th gear my bike suddenly roars as if it's in neutral...then i have to balance myself and lower the gears...in 4th gear i can go max 45 if i stress...in 5th gear i feel that speed is restricted to 55kph..and the gears are rock solid...i have push the gear hard and same while shifting the gears down...2 days back it so happened that i had to drop my friend to the mechanic's shop as he had given his A160 for servicing..the mech saw my bike and took it for a ride and he told me my bike's engine is defective...he pulled the throttle in neutral n i heard the loud tak tak sound and the mech told me its bcoz of defective crankshaft...he advised me to give it for replacement asap ion the tvs showroom....i really feel sad by the way things are going....

m done with 3k kms on the my 180.. the problem is that at times i experience hiccups even though the tank has sufficient fuel if i don use it for 2 days or so.
i complained to the svc guy n they said they'l correct it. but.there seem to be no improvement. does anyone share the same problem? any suggestions?
another problem that m experiencing is that even with my engine off on a down slope road even if the road is smooth i feel something touching a causing a slight knock at regular intervals.. does anyone has the same issue?
i just hope nothing is out of place because don't want this problem to crop up as a bigger one later.

This has to be the crankshaft issue. This seems to be 2nd such case reported so far here in xBhp. Get the bike inspected by the TVS svc people and stress them for a new part under warranty.Originally posted by thmh201 View Postguys its been only 15 days since i bought my A180...650kms done...i have started facing some serious problems...when i ride my bike in 4th or 5th gear my bike suddenly roars as if it's in neutral...then i have to balance myself and lower the gears...in 4th gear i can go max 45 if i stress...in 5th gear i feel that speed is restricted to 55kph..and the gears are rock solid...i have push the gear hard and same while shifting the gears down...2 days back it so happened that i had to drop my friend to the mechanic's shop as he had given his A160 for servicing..the mech saw my bike and took it for a ride and he told me my bike's engine is defective...he pulled the throttle in neutral n i heard the loud tak tak sound and the mech told me its bcoz of defective crankshaft...he advised me to give it for replacement asap ion the tvs showroom....i really feel sad by the way things are going....
Get the carb cleaned up and also ask them to tune it properly.Originally posted by jay_apachian View Postm done with 3k kms on the my 180.. the problem is that at times i experience hiccups even though the tank has sufficient fuel if i don use it for 2 days or so.

Almost every Apache is coming out with some or the other problem. Hiccups, front fork noise and now this crankshaft. Is this how TVS wants to compete with Bajaj and Hero Honda? Most of the post 2010 manufactured P220s are coming out problem free as people are saying at the ownership thread of P220. And lets not say anything about Hero Honda. I know its normal to have a few problems in some bikes but in each and every one of them? These things are make me lose the respect for TVS day by day.You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

The quality of the bikes has degraded from the initial years of operation of the company and it is even more baffling as not so long ago TVS was the first motorcycle manufacturer in the world to be awarded the prestigious Deming Prize(TQM).

@chicane & guitarfreak - thats why i was a little skeptical about getting myself a tvs product. but u see victor & star range dont have that many issues! it not about having problems with the product & facing glitches, but its about how the firm responds to the customers who buy their top-of-the-line product!!! tvs should treat rtr180 customers with some respect, at least the ones who are facing problems. the pathetic service centers are ruining an awesome product!
hope tvs guys read threads here

TVS's quality was good when it was with SUZUKI, i mean look at the FIERO's with SUZUKI itched on the tank and then look at the FIERO's with TVS on the tank and you can make out the diff between the two.
Look at the original IND-SUZUKI, i mean if you can still get it from somewhere, look at the finish of the chrome the bike had, if it was IND-TVS it would have been a diff story all together.
Most of the RTR's flaws may have been given a tag as the charaterictics, namely VIBRATIONS, MISSING IN THE FI, NOTCHY GEARBOXES, AND ROUGH ENGINE, but they are flaws.
And cuz of the above mentioned things my DAD hates to ride my bike cuz he was in habit of riding a smooth machine (FIERO), it's not cuz he was uncomfortable about the riding position or the ergonomics, it was just the engine and the gearbox that put him off.
Apart from it there are still many issues which should be sort out in RTR like the paint, specially in alloys and the engine section area,(FINS), digital speedo failture, one way clutch in the 180, swingarm rusting issues, battries plates going (mainly cuz of the vibrations) etc.
Even BAJAJ is coming up well with the new crop of PULSARS it's throwing to the market, my friends have 150's and 180's pulsar and even after 4 years of ownership nit a single issue of rusting was there.
This is where YAMAHA wins,it's charging more for the bikes line up it has, but on the quality and everything front it's unbeatable, why not INDIAN do the same thing if a japanese can do it??
Oh i forgot.....
"CHALTA HAI"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'am a hardcore RTR fan, but i'am also not happy about somethings of the bike...

So if you need to know the circuit send him a PM. He will be happy to help. The auto electrician who carried out the conversion was also very knowledgeable. But nothing other than the coil rewinding and the new RR unit is needed. You just need to rewind the coil heavily and get a guy to carry out the mod who knows his stuff. And considering the amount of light you get after it, its totally worth it.
